  1. Thanks for the info. I have been having a problem with cracks in candles using the J223 and Soy. I have adjusted temperatures but it hasn't helped. It looks like air bubble cracks. I still think it is the temperature but can't figure out if it is the pouring temp or room temp. My daughter-in-law is enjoying getting all the candles with cracks. She says they burn great which is another puzzle to me.

I am going to order a sample of 4630 tomorrow then back to the testing. What type of wicks have worked best. I mostly use LX wicks.

  2. I was talking on the telephone and making candles and made a big mistake. After the candles cooled, I smelled one and it didn't have any smell. Took me awhile to figure out I had not put the FO in the wax. :sad2: Is there an easy way to melt the wax so I can correct the mistake. With the price of wax I will be very upset if I lose all this wax. I thought about putting the jars in the oven on a low temp -- is this the best way? Thanks for any help. Bet I watch what I am doing next time. Linda

  3. I get most of my scents from Alabaster since I am within driving distance. Some of my best sellers are Kudzu, Love Spell, Pomergranate, Peach, Magnolia, Blueberry Muffin.

I also have been pleased with their customer service. Mike has always been a big help and takes the time to answer my questions no matter how "dumb".

  4. I purchased the clamshells at least a year ago and have finally decided to pour them. Several questions -- Can I use 6228 for these. Also is there a standard warning label that I can use. Thanks for any help. My senior moments are getting more frequent. BTW I did a search and didn't have find the answers I needed. Linda

  5. Yes, that is the chart I have been searching for. Thanks so much. I am going to make sure I keep a record of where it is located. Thanks again! I am still trying to figure out what wick to use with this case of J300 I found in my work shop. Since the wax has been discontiued there is not much info on it. Don 't even remember when I bought the wax. Have a wonderful evening. Linda

  6. I have been searching for a site that listed different waxes, with all sizes of containers and a list of wicks to test. I am definitely having senior moments. I checked candle cauldron and one-stop candle sites but was not what I was looking for. Does anyone have an idea of what the name of the site is? Hope I am making sense with this post.:rolleyes2

  7. I have run out of my regular container wax and cannot get to the supplier until next week. I have a case of J300 I bought quite a while back. Does anyone use this was and if so what is a good starting point for a wick in a 8 oz jelly jar. I use LX wicks. I usually use a soy/parafin blend and in most scents use a LX 18 or a LX 20 in heavy scents. Also what is anyone opinion about the hot throw with this wax. I usually test, test, but since I am in such a crunch I thought someone might give me a starting point. What a mess to be in at this time of year. Thanks for any help. Have a blessed day! Linda:sad2:

  8. Thanks again Vicky. I am using a small race car model with white gravel in the bottom. Hopefully I will find a tealight cup at Wal-mart. I bought several small glass containers at the Dollor Tree but they were high. Here I go again. :)

  9. Not sure if I am on the right board for this question. I need a different name for Black Canyon. Customers wouldn't even open to smell and then I burn one in shop and everyone who comes in loves the scent. Thought if I changed the name it might sell when not burning. What about "Blue Moon"? TIA
