  1. I used to feel the same but when I switched to the big honking bombs, my customers would tell me that they would start out by trying to use just 1/2 the bomb and then decide to toss the other 1/2 in too. They seem to be happy with the bigger size. Also, it depends on how big your tub is, how high you fill it etc etc. Making the smaller ones was fun but labor intensive.

  2. I've never used a meatballer. I use the ornament thing. I love the size of them things. Also, when I first started making bath bombs, I used to make 1/2 rounds (shaped like a bombe). I used the little plastic container that you get stockings in. I would fill the top half, squish it all in with the palm of my hand and unmold immediately. They were SOOOO easy to do. I'd sit them in cupcake paper thingies and wrap them in cello - very cute they were.

  3. I was wondering if anyone's order FOs from The Jar Store and your thoughts on them? I'm thinking about trying them (I can actually pick up and save on shipping). I don't make candles, just BB (mostly CP soap).

    Thanks

  4. I CPOP every batch. Put your soap in the oven at 170 for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Turn off oven and leave to cool down in there for at least 7 hours. I usually stick mine in at night and remove in the morning. I've never had a problem soaping this way. I still cure mine for at least 4 weeks but it is safe to use before that.

    Have fun

  5. Kimberly I'm with you. I'll stick in the oven at 8:00pm, turn it off at 9:30pm and have it all sliced up and looking pritti by 7:00am the next morning (before work). the anticipation of it all gets me out of bed at 5:30am.

  6. Looks delish - good enough to lick :) So, you need to wait at least 3 days before unmolding? I missed that story. How is it better? The last time I waited to unmold I couldn't even cut it properly without it breaking off at the bottom of each slice although I think that was because I had sodium lactate in that batch. I don't know if i'd be patient enough to wait 3 days :undecided

  7. Does the majority add FO after trace? I read somewhere today that you can add fragrance to the lye solution - I've never heard of that. I've always added my fragrance oils post-trace.

Is this something new or have I been living under a rock?

    Thanks
