  1. Hi All, Does anyone know of a better source for the Jelly Jar Metal Shades at Fillmore Container http://www.fillmorecontainer.com/product.asp?deptID=2&sku=ESS%2DB&sID=N1M6P73FUHDR9HRWV5P5N3MW3A500439 The price seems a little high, or is that pretty much the going rate through other suppliers? I'd appreciate the help!!
  2. IFT is short for International Fragrance Technology, www.iftfragrances.com, although I believe their website is outdated. Just give them a call and someone will be able to help you out!
  3. IFT has a wonderful Diptyque Feu De Bois (Firewood) type, IMO smells fantastic. It has strong smokey notes with just a tiny undertone of sweet. HTH!
  4. I haven't had a problem with this particular company, but had a similar situation. The company continuously made monthly withdrawls from my account, off contract. The only way I was able to solve it was have the bank reverse it and file it as an un-authorized charge, and they were not allowed to take out the money anymore! HTH!
  5. Thanks for the input. We are launching the line to a showroom at the Minneapolis Mart, which is a wholesale buyers complex. Our market is the same target for companies such as Voluspa, Votivo, etc, mid range luxury market as I've heard it described. I'm aware of the expense, we're working with a couple of manufacturers in China. I guess, basically I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas as far as packaging options.
  6. Ok, I will try to explain this the best I can. For jars that do not have glass covers or toppers, what do you use to cover the wick/wax? I've seen thin plastic or cardboard discs used, but where can I find them?
  7. Do any of you use 4627 and add coloring? If so, blocks or dyes, and how do they turn out?
  8. Hi All, We're preparing to launch a new line, and we have several unique "higher-end" fragrances, and are just stumped on how to package it. They are in 7oz tumblers (same as Votivo, Paddywax, etc.) but what next? Just a nice label? We were thinking of doing the round fabric boxes like DL & Co, but now we're not so sure!! Ahh, so stressful, but anyone have any ideas?? TIA!
  9. Does anyone know where to find a good Pineapple Ginger? IFT does some Archipelago dupes, but I dont think Pineapple Ginger is one of them TIA!
  10. Type in Epicurean Foods International in Google, they recently started carrying a really nice selection of baskets and supplies. They have wonderful customer service and really easy to work with!! HTH
  11. Hi All, I just got a couple cases of IGI 4627, and am going to begin testing. I'm pouring containers, which have a diamter of 3.5". What types of wicks would you suggest, perhaps a double wick?? TIA!
  12. Hi All, Does anyone know if there is an IGI supplier in either WI, MN, IA, ND, or SD?? TIA!
  13. Hi All, I'm trying to work with IFT on getting some samples and a list of their available fragrances. It's like pulling teeth! I'm getting six samples, and I asked if I dont like those, are we able to order more (and pay for them). I received a mixed answer, we're are to provide feedback on why we didnt order from the samples we received. I guess all I really want is a complete list of their fragrances!! Does anyone happen to have one, or use IFT on a regular basis?? TIA
  14. Finding manufacturers is actually pretty easy. First, you'll have to work with a graphic designer or design firm, which can be pricy, but they have the connections to source production in China, and in some cases, you can get boxes in as little as a few thousand pieces. Some of the quotes I've received for the Votivo style boxes are around $0.67/each, which I deem reasonable since they are hand crafted. But, if you need any help or ideas, feel free to pm me!
  15. These types of boxes apparently are made by many suppliers in China. I'm kind of getting mixed results on just ONE supplier. A few have shown pictures of the DL Boxes. Pricing isnt bad, but quantity is the problem. 10,000 pieces +!! Then you have shipping . Maybe some day!!
  16. Douglas Little (The D.L. in the name lol) makes a wonderful candle, and its completely crazy they run up to $125!! But, the luxury market craves looks like that, and I've burned a Black Dahlia candle, and while the scent was pretty good, and threw really well, it was only like 4.5 ounces if I remember correctly!!! Also, what do you all think of their boxes? I found the company in China that produces them.
  17. What is the composition? Is it a good seller for you? I'm really looking to get a woodsy type FO for this fall.
  18. Hi All, Have any of you found a Elton John Fireside type FO or something similar? I'd appreciate your help!! I have a customer asking about it.
  19. Hi Everyone, Just thought I'd share some of my research and findings with all of you. As many of you know, wood wicks are available through a few suppliers right now. I spoke with a representative from DaynaDecker/Lumetique (the original creator of woodwick, or "EcoWood" technology, and they basically told me this. Old Virginia licenses the technology from them, they are the only company allowed to use their woodwicks, unless you private label directly through Dayna Decker as a co-branded product, but, quantity minimums start at 2,500 pieces (yikes!). The wood wicks available from other suppliers are not those used by Old Virginia or developed by Lumetique. The representative told me they have bought and tested the wicks other suppliers are selling, and she said in all honesty, they are down right dangerous. Now, of course they would say that, since they are the original creators, and obviosly do not like knock-offs, but she went on to explain that there is a specific method for the manufacturing, curing, cutting, and treatment of these wicks, to prevent out of control burning etc. So, if you plan on using these wood wicks, please be careful, and also beware, that Lumetique actively pursues companies who use the term wood wick, or Woodwick in any variation. So, I'm kind of disappointed, as I wanted to try and use the wood wicks, but, looks like I'll be sticking to the old fashioned way!
  20. I maybe should've have been more specific. I am not using C1, I am just wondering if anyone is, and would recommend it. I wasn't aware this was an old product, all I know is its the soy/palm blend? Can anyone recommend it?
  21. Hey all, Just wondering if any of you are using C1, and if so, what are your results? Would you recommend it? Also, is there anything else I can add to the wax to make it perform even better? Thanks in advance!!
  22. This may be a very stupid question, or not make any sense, but how many liquid ounces of wax do you get from a pound of wax? Is there a difference? Also, I'm planning on using NatureWax. Thank you in advance!!
  23. In general, I just mean what do you type to search for glass suppliers. Everytime I try and search, I just get a crazy variety of results.
  24. whensearching for glass jars, votives, etc.? I know, strange question, but when I search for jars and stuff on Google, I get such a mix of results, and mostly candle companies come up. Anyone have suggestions for search terms when looking for jars? Thanks for the help in advance!
