I already have ordered wax for containers. I have just been playing with this wax. He believes it is a pillar wax but just isn't sure.

I was wondering if someone would know what is going on with my wax...I don't know what kind it is...It's something my husband bought and the guy he bought it from didn't know anything about it but I have been playing with it...I poured some candles and didn't like the wicks so I melted them and poured them into molds...Now I have some round plastic molds and some metal molds and I used both to pour the wax until I am ready to do something else with it...I just unmolded them all and found that the metal molds the wax has a whiteish spotting on the outside and from the plastic molds there is no spotting...Why would this wax come out different in different types of molds...It also has the spotting in glass jars....

Thank you...I was just looking at Peaks as it seems a lot of people like them here so think I will get at least a couple from them and see if they really are better than the ones I already have...

Yes I have ask people at work to smell them and everyone says they are not strong enough...It was the almond orange and oatmeal one that I took to work...So you don't think it is the FO but just the scent itself? I didn't know if there was a real difference where you got it or not...The place I got mine says 100% pure, uncut oils so I guessed they were good oils but didn't know for sure...

The green tea and cucumber is a light scent and have been in the jars for a couple of weeks the other one is a pretty strong orange scent and has only been in the jars for a couple of days...

I don't know what is wrong but my candles are not strong enough. I used 1 oz. FO to 1 lbs wax...The FO I got is from Gelluminations the only scents I have tried is Green Tea and Cucumber and Almond Orange Oatmeal...The wax is 4627 and the wicks are 5" 51-32-18's they are going into a 8oz jelly jar. They look good but just don't smell as strong as they should...What am I doing wrong?

I have drilled holes in popsicle sticks. Stick the wick through and hold with a clothes pin or bobby pin.

I am new to the forum but I did try searching for this before I ask my question to see if the answer was already here and I couldn't find it so I will go ahead and ask...How do you or do you glue the lids in mason jars? I tried super glue and that didn't work then I tried Elmers glue and that sorta worked but only on some jars not on all of them...I personally find it irritating for the lids to come off every time I open the jar.
