I took a beginners soap class at my suppliers today and i made CP for the first time. I made three types, castille, cocoa butter and beeswax. I decided i am addicted, but for now i think i will stick with cocoa butter soap.
Y'all should be so proud. I will do my best to get some pics on here when its unmolded.

those look interesting, but $2.50 for five is not a good deal IMO.
-
i got mine from kangaroo blue, i ordered the ones' that are a bit too big, but they work great anyway.
-
Awesome first day.

My local supplier Voyageur Soap & Candle Company makes a really good base. I also have the recipe for it, and i do make it from scratch. I really like it because it lathers without the Sodium Laurel Sulfate. The bubble bath base is really excellent as well.

If you have transportation, Brambleberry looks to be about a 2 hr drive north of Seattle.
The actual store is in Bellingham, and its called Otion. Its a great great store.

I am glad my local supplier carries it, because i am going to start CP as soon as classes start again.

i would like to know as well where the mold came from.
-
thanks so much, it took a while to find it because i went into the wrong site, i needed to be in the texas site, but didn't know that.
anyway thanks again, i saved the site and i think i might give it a try.

i have been trying ot figure out for a while what corn cob sachets are? What is the BC Board Instruction sheet?
-
i love those molds, what are they? Where would i find them?
And those soaps look fabulous, and i love the story that went with them.

my dad always says 'all the nuts don't live in trees"
that has got to be the wackiest story i have ever read on here, except for scrubzz " untold stories of the ER".

i did have a great day, but unfortunately its only 6:38 here and its way to early to go to bed.

last wednesday i found out that i could have three tables today at my local hospital to sell my B&B for $15 plus $8 for parking, plus 15% of my profit to the auxilary. so i worked like a madwoman for the week i had to get ready, and came with my shampoo, conditioner, Bath & Shower Gel, Bubble Bath, Face mask, Face Scrub, & Face Cream.
Results:
I sold almost 80 dollars worth of product and handed out a ton of business cards, and then went to my in-laws house and they bought $ 85 from me today as well. NOt bad for a days work.
Now i am exausted, my house is a mess and i am going to go lie down on the couch.
-
i am no help because i get a local guy to do it, as soon as i can get pictures put on here i will start displaying it. He designed my entire concept, business cards and we are working on brochures. He is not a graphic designer he is a printer who does graphic design work, so that keeps the cost down.
Maybe check out printers where you live to see if they have suggestions.

I do wash the oil off with a face cloth and it leaves my skin soft but not oily. I just meant that i am used to using my face scrub that it seems odd that a oil blend would clean my face.
-
quite soft actually. it feels odd to just use oil, and not something else though.
-
i changed the recipe to 4 oz castor oil, 3.5 oz of calendula oil and .5 oz of borage oil. used it for the first time this morning and pressed a hot cloth against it, and rinsed off.
