  1. I just poured Peaks sugar cookie, and it smells so good!! I have read some older threads on here and it sounds like I won't get a good hot throw..I will let it cure for a few days and see..I hope it throws in soy!!I also poured Candle Science sugar cookies and it isn't as good as Peaks..I let it cure for four days, lit it & it has little to medium throw plus it doesn't smell like a real sugar cookie to me..Is sugar cookie just a lighter scent that isn't suppose to be strong?Has anyone found a strong true one?I really love Peaks so far...Karen~

  2. I detect a cleaner type smell to ST gingerbread cookies, and NG wasn't strong enough..I am on a gingerbread hunt..I have samples of gingerbread coming from The Scent Works,Peaks,Southern Soapers & Pine Meadows..I hope one of them is a good one!! Karen~ I did get samples of Southern Soapers sugar cookies(which is currently being offered as a free sample on the website) & cinnamon sticks..Out of bottle they both smell awesome!Going to mix the two and try for a good snickerdoodle..

  3. I just ordered from Candle Science!Oh well,I will have to get samples of both sugar cookies & cinnamon sticks and see if it makes a good snickerdoodle..I am sorry, but I just am not a big fan of MC's oils..I am sure some of them are great but everytime I have ever ordered from them I have always wound up selling what I purchased..(oils) Thanks for the suggestions though..Karen~

  4. I bought a sample of pumpkin souffle from CS and it has been curing for four days..I lit it this morning and already blew it out! It definately smells burnt..The burnt hair smell someone said earlier is dead on.I am so glad I didn't get a larger bottle..Looks like alot of other companies have this same NEW oil on their sites as well..Not a good pumpkin scent in my opinion..Why is it SO hard to find a pumpkin pie, sugar cookie & gingerbread that throws and smells true??I have just about given up on trying to find these oils..Not really, but you would think these different suppliers would come up with these three scents sooner or later....that actually smell good and strong and are true to their names...Karen~

  5. I read some older threads that some of you are using creme brulee in place of candy corn, for candy corn..Who has a great creme brulle that smells similar to candy corn that has a nice hot throw in soy?I tried CC candy corn and although it gets wonderful reviews, I personally did not like it..Weird smell to me..Some creme brulee's have a chocolate note and that wouldn't work for candy corn..So just wondering if anyone knows of a good one that smells like candy corn?I also have ST creme brulee but I don't care for it..Thanks! Karen~

  6. Ok,alot of you suggested WYW buttery gingerbread but after reading some old threads sounds like it doesn't throw in soy..It is so expensive and with what I have read on throw, I doubt I order any of it from there..Early American Candles is one I am thinking of trying.Has anyone used this with good results? Most of the gingerbreads I have tested do not smell like true gingerbread..I know there HAS to be one somewhere!I hate to waste anymore money looking for this scent but I definately need it in my line for the holidays..Whose gingerbread are you currently using for soy with a nice hot throw?Snowtops is pretty good but I detect a cleaner type smell to it..I think this is the hardest scent to find!Along with pumpkin pie of course!Karen~

  7. I have been using Candlewics snickerdoodle but between their snickerdoodle and gingerbread spice cake oils they smell very similar so I am looking for a replacement..I ordered a sample of Southern Scentsations to try in wax.I had a sample of it before but never got in the wax and didn't think it was very strong OOB..But after reading some older threads I guess I should try it in wax!Natures Garden has a nice review on their snickerdoodle also..Which is the better of the two?Or is there an even better one somewhere? Thanks!Karen~

  8. Well,I used NG gingerbread for quite awhile about a year ago and it just didn't have a strong smell to me..Although it did smell good..WYW sounds too buttery for me..I am not sure if gingerbread even has butter in it?I am looking for a molasses, brown sugar, ginger & cinnamon blend, like gingerbread is suppose to be when you make it in the oven..Snowtops is definately good but everytime I smell it I detect some kind of cleaner type smell and it turned me off from using it..Gingerbread is a very hard scent to find..Maybe suppliers will read these posts and come up with a true one..I seen that Keystone has molasses but the description says weak cold throw and awesome hot throw..Wondering if it would sell with a weak cold throw since customers usually go by the cold throw when smelling a candle..I don't think sugar cookies is in the ingredients for making homemade gingerbread.Need to look at my recipe and figure it out!Maybe I should just buy the ingredients in the oils and mix my own..Molasses isn't on everyone's list,I have only been able to find it at Keystone..Anyone know who else has this scent?Karen~
