  1. i tried it one time to see if it would help. it did not seem to make the candle any stronger.i could be wrong but to me if the scent is to light at that amount you are not going to get any better scent throw by adding more.i was using the baby food jars to at the time to test them in for scent throw.i added 2 oz to a lb of wax. but on the tart burner you could not tell that it had any more scent in it than the one that had 1.5 oz.the ones with 1 oz you could tell it was lighter. i tried this with three different scents.

  2. i made one once that had the pattern for my sister who has a red and white kitchen.i do not no if they did it like this but i poured a coat of wax in a cookie sheet. cut it into strips and then took the strips and pushed them on the side of the mold. the wax was still soft when i put it in the mold.then like weaved them.you need a heat gun to keep it soft enough.the strips was red.then i did a over pour of white.like doing chunks.but the top i left kinda hanging over till i did my repour.it was neat but i do not think this is what they did but it worked.

  3. i am useing 1945 wax for my jar candles. i am not happy with the scent throw.i have tried it till i am ready to scream.still have almost a case of it.since i just make candles for a hobby and get carried away with it at that.do you think you would go with a softer wax.or i have used pillar wax with adding stuff i can get a really good scent throw with it that i am happy with. but it is alot more trouble that just putting all ready mixed wax in and melt with color and fo.but after reading the post on how many different types of wax people try for jars. i am thinking mabe just stick with the low melting point pillar that does not look as nice in the jar.

  4. i have not tried the mac apple but i have tried several of peaks fo,s. i use 1945 wax if it does a so so throw. i use j 50 if it does not through in that give up on it. i have used all kind of wicks. as long as you get a good melt pool i do not think it is the wick.i add 1.5 oz of scent to a lb of wax if the scent does not do good i dont use it.pecks hyacinth is a good strong scent.that is the best one i have found so far.i have enough left of the sample bottle i bought.that would do about a 1/4 lb wax.if you wont me to i could send it to you.you would have to weight how much before you add the wax.i would make between a 1/4 ounce and a half ounce of fo to 1/4 lb of wax.there cinnamon and balsam did ok in 1945 good enough that i will try it in j 50 to see if it works.i have hopes for it i think you might get a good scent through with it at 1.5 oz.

  5. i have tried ten different mixes of this have never found one i relly like.home interior has a great one. but i have never came close to this scent.what i have been burning is pumpkin pie and added cinnamon. it is not apple but at least i get the spice scent i wont.i think home interiors apple pie has a spice in it and with just apple and cinnamon it just is not right.my next try is pumpkin pie and apple and cinnamon mixed smells good so far but just made it so to early to burn.

  6. i ended up putting a little zip lock bag with the salt inside.in case it driped.but left the top open.but after mixing alot less fo to the salt i dont think it would drip.i do not wont to worry about driping so i will be on the safe side.but the scent is alot stronger than the corn cob.has been one week in my truck and still nice and strong. i used a lighter scent i did not care for.i am going to test a good strong scent now.i left the salt in a jar for two days i did not try to let it dry.
