the metal serving spoon is how i was doing it. i spent more time scooping out wax than any thing else. i did not think it would cut. but it sure is nice not having to scoop.

i do not no who it was who told me that you could slice comfort blend wax. and put a forth of a slab in the presto pot.but i thank you. that was the best tip i have ever gotten. saved me a lot of time not dipping this wax out.again thank you it worked like a dream.

one time i sent fudge with a goodie basket to a niece. and she said the fudge tasted like the soap and candle.i wouldnt do it again the stuff was allwraped up and in jars but some how it still does not work.

i use some little metal ice buckets i got from the doller store they stack and work great.

i use 1.5 fo to a lb.

when i test my jar candle. i get a good nice burn for about one to two hours. i have this happen on alot of sizes i have tried.then when i do not blow them out and trim the wick i end up getting alot of smoke.i am useing zink core wicks but have tried the self triming ones allso.does this mean my wick is to large.when i go to a smaller one it takes a very long time to get a good melt pool.i have iga 4627 wax.love the scent throw on this wax but cant get the smoking under control.

Indonesian teak does seem to be a light scent.the wax i never have used soy. no soot at all looked great.i have not tried one of my own scents yet to see if it will have good scent trough. but love the wax sample so far.

London Lemon Curd what is this.has any one made a candle with these.i have tried like 7 different lemons still have not found a good one.the verdana is the one i started trying to find.never found a good strong enough one for candles.

i got mine today.i just got done making a amall candle.i got the indonesian teck it smells like baby powder i thought.will let u no about the scent throw.

cybersix you need to test the hot through.they are cheap would be great if they worked.last cheap ones i bought was way to light tho.

i have tried embeding them in the wax. sometimes they turn out most the time they do not for me.after about ten trys i went to diping them. they always turn out that way for me.in the past i have done wedding candles only.thought i would try green. but not thinking i made it for a tea light to go in it.i think the way Donita said would work i already got this one made tho. guess i will put a acrylic finish on it.

when you dip a piller in wax. to cover a pitcher do you use the same color of wax.i have done white pillars only this way.now i need to do a dark green one not sure how to do the over dip.since the one is made for a tea light not sure how to dip it.

it has cured for two months now.it has soy bean oil,lard,cocoa butter,castor oil,coconut oil 20%,safflower oil,sweet almond oil, goats milk in place of the water.

i made a oatmeal milk and honey soap.next time i will add less oatmeal.but the bar seems to not last very long.is this normal for this kind of soap with the oatmeal in it.or is the bar to soft. it seems as hard as my other soaps.just not sure why it does not last as long. i used the ground oatmeal so the oatmeal is not in big pieces.used 1/2 cup to a 2 lb batch.
