  1. Thanks Sharon in KY - We don't have a Michaels but, I will check our local craft store. I'm sure they will have something. Charmies - I got your message. Thank you! I'm sure I will have lots of questions when I get started. Thanks again for everyone's help! I'm off to do more reading.
  2. BBSweets - Thank you so much for the websites! They are just what I was looking for. I knew there had to be some kits to get your started, I just couldn't find them. You are very talented. Love your projects. Thanks again for your help! This was a big help!
  3. I've been doing some reading on how to make Bead Jewelry. How do you know where to start and what to buy first? Are there kits you can start out with? Can someone point me in the right direction? Any help is appreciated.
  4. agrace - what FO's you have tried. I have used a few of gelluminations and have had good CT and HT. I'm using 8 oz. jj's. GB 415 wax. I have Clean Cotton in the bathroom and I had to shut the door, very, very strong. I could have easily cut back on this fo. :DI've had good luck with several others as well from there. Good luck. tartnflight
  5. Thanks Kforbs - I will give it a few more tries. I'm going to try pouring them in another location. And see if that makes a difference. Thanks again tartnflight
  6. I have been unsuccessful w/trying to make tarts using 415. I've tried pouring slushy and they are just rough & ugly. Lots of frosting. But, my jelly jars look fine. Very frustrated. :undecided Could it be that the room is too cool? Any advice on the 415 would be great. Thanks tartnflight
  7. :yay:Thank you for posting this. This will make my search easier for a new soy wax. tartnflight
  8. I agree with Fern_Marie. I had 3 electric warmers and rarely could get a good throw. I now have 3 new tea light warmers and get a better throw. I wonder if a electric one w/a lower wattage that uses a bulb would work??? tartnflight

  10. I agree -start with a kit. It's not as hard as it sounds. I started with tarts and votives and ready to move on to containers. Good luck! tartnflight
  11. Hi BIGCAT, I only used the stick'ems, cause I'm still new and never thought of just using silicone. But, I know different now. I'm going to give the silicone a try today. I just happen to have some. Thanks for the help! ~tartnflight
  12. Denise06 I used wick stick ums to stick the wick. (which I'm not fond of) I will try cleaning it again too. Otherwise, I will get some of the loctite. Thank you everyone for your help! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  13. I'm new at making container candles. I did a test jar w/just plain wax. And it turned out perfect. So, I made another one with fo and dye. My question is, can too much fo or dye cause my wick not to stick to the bottom? I cooled my wax down to 100 degrees before pouring. Thank you for any help on this. tartnflight
  14. Wow, lots of great ideas. I best get my order ready! Thank you everyone for the great suggestions! ~tartnflight~
  15. Has anyone used any of Indiana's coffee scents or bakery scents? Just curious how the throw is on them in tarts. Any suggestions, would be great. ~tartnflight~
