No, I leanered from all this & in a way hoped it didnt happen, but hey, you live & learn.. Yes I am a military wife & have been sharing with the others. They like my hurricanes...Plus everyone knows qwhat they are getting for christmas..I love the gift basket idea someone mentioned..A great way to be creative.

I read somewhere about wicking pins..(to hold wick in place above the containers & molds. I did a search & cant find anything..maybe Im caling it the wrong thing though. ANyone what i'm talking about? Right now i'm using kabob sticks..but move to much..lol I need another method. Please Angie B

Thank you MICHI...thuths? I did jump the gun, but I felt like I was being bashed by the pros. Once again I'm sorry. You do seem like you know what your doing & I'd love help from you, if your willing to give it. Help me become the pro like you guys. I know it takes alot of practicing..I know cause one of my marbles didnt quite turn out the way I would have liked it to last night..lol I have made some that I was proud of & some I could have sat on the kitchen floor & cried over..lol Once again I have listened to you & taken alot into consideration. I use straight paraffin wax..I tried the soy/paraffin & wasnt to happy with it. Great tip on pouring methods..i'll try that next time. Ice candles..i had one & tried burning it & well it didnt do all that good & thats why I asked..do they usually burn right? Cause mine didnt. But i did hear about using tapers in center of crushed ice & so you actualy jsut burn the taper. You can exchange the tapers out as well. I'm gonna try that too.

I completely get what everyones saying..HONESTLY! I have done ALOT of thinking on this & have been speaking with my mother n law (which is the one that has the know how on codeing websites) I dont make changes, she does..I wouldnt know how if i tried..& yes the under construction has been up for about a month now. I am taking alot of my stuff off my site..Alot of things some ppl have brought to my attention scared me & made me open my eyes. I'm going to do some changes with the Gels maybe try forever candles see how they work. Thanks to a few ppl in here...yes I have come to realize that i do have alot more to learn. Amynlee....Thanks for sharing the 4 day turn around... hearing that made alot of sence. The part where I said I almost mastered..i guess I have worded that wrong. I didnt mean I mastered candle making..TO ME...being a "newbie" I thought I was doing good & having a few turn out, was amazing to me, so yes I felt like i had mastered it, in my head...but i now know that having mastered candle making well it is a insult to you pro's & I am sorry..truely sorry..I didnt mean for that to sound that way. Make sence? I hope this makes everyone happy here. I dont know what else to say. I have explained myself over & over & some just keep cutting me open. I came here to learn & ended up getting hurt. Now I know I shouldnt have started the site just after 3 months of testing, but maybe saying it alittle differently..maybe I would have taking it a lot better. Please give me feedback & I promise I wont take it badly..I did this one as a cold pour/rustic...with apple spice scent.. Question though.air bubbles..i had some on the surface..I just poped them, but can they cause any danger when burning? Another question about Ice candles..How do they burn..with all the holes...wouldnt it cause it to melt to fast? Just a thought..I've only done 2 ice candles..just wondering if anyone else has? this is just a chunk candle I did..today

Thank you Crafty Chris...You brought up alot of issues I have thought about...the heart, yes...I made it & thought afterwards "I should have put 3 wicks", so thank you for seeing that. Silk flowers, yes again...I also found that to be true & I am making new improvments to put on the site. My site is under construction & so still making improvements. I have taken the proper actions to take off my order page & "contact me" page with any info that might lead to others that I am selling. I dont want to sell anything yet..just using family as test dumbies...lol (my mother n law is the one that does all the coding of the site (hosting) so i have to get with her on that...) Gel...Someone told me acouple days ago to ask you about Gel's..I just learned about a week ago about the Gel SAFE FO's...I do know some I have from Cajun's Candle Factory was Gel safe, but not paying attention to what ones..so next time I will..Thanks for bringing this to my attention... Angelwings1...I to like to use my Gel's as forever candles...yes, the safest way to go..I was planning on labeling those candles as decoration only. But I like forever candles (phrase) better...thanks Now, to note a few words about what has happened on here the last couple days... Mirika & Michi - I do know what you are saynig & I understand where your coming from. I have been putting my horse behind the cart..I think is what you said..lol After sleeping on it & havinmg dreams that scared me like crazy...lol I am taking off my order page for now & any contact info (other then email for questions)...I dont want people to stumble over my website & expect to buy quite yet. I have read this & yes i see what you guys are saying..Truely know what you are saying...I'm not doing this to get rich..i'm doing this to have some fun & see what i can do..with candles... As I said again & again..i'm not one of those poeple that are pumping out candles without testing & retesting...actualy i'm not pumping out candles at all..lol I've sold 3 candles & they have been to a friend & family..Ooooo, i'm selling now..lol Its something that makes me feel wanted especially after becoming a SAHM (stay at home mom)..It gives me something to do during the day while kids are at school. I know how it must have sounded to you guys (my website) & maybe i need to change the wording..but i am trying & not trynig to kill someone..I understand the fire hazards & lawsuits. It might be years (like some of you) before I sell any..but right now its fun & i enjoy it. I just wanted to add here..I do test all my items..i dont want anyone to get hurt from this & dont think I havnet thought about that...everytime I make a candle I think about it. I know first hand what a candle can do..

Judette..Thanks for the "GGOD JOB" These were some of my first pillars I did..about 3 months ago..I was amazed out how easy it was til I tried to light one & it burned right down the center..lol I did some testing & searching online at why they are doing this. Thats when I spent many hours online & in the kitchen testing & reading & testing some more & finding out about wick sizes..etc. I jumped to the keybaord earlier & i apoligize..to you all..I just read acouple replies & got my feelings hurt..I believe in no way that i am perfect nor are my candles, but to hear from someone about my website (that i have been working on so hard lately) with no intensions of even getting any orders from (seeing the order page is under construction) it just hurt to hear some of the things I heard & on another page I was acused of being a fake (or as said.pulling your guys legs. I'm just trying to do something here I love..& thought maybe I can make alittle money. I have sold a few but only to family members that are trying to be nice & at the same time being my testers..so I dont get sued...lol Again..i'm sorry for jumping the gun..I do take in consideration what you all say & try to learn from it. Those actually were my first ones..well after about 3 failed ones..but they were my first good ones after just making them for about a week striaght. I read on here where people think i'm pulling their legs or your guys legs...I swear to you..i am not..my Gel just seem to come out alot better then my Paraffin wax candles..maybe i do have a talent in just Gels...who knows. For those of you that think i'm fake...i'm sorry you think that. I just wish you knew me better. Angie B

You know maybe your right, but reading this as a newbie..wow it did 2 things..#1 hit home at what i have to look forward to #2 man these people are harsh & it felt like to me that you were saying I was a fake! marika.... Man you are something..I'm not pulling no ones leg...I am a person (WITH FEELINGS) just like you. I dont have to prove anything to you....I just come here to get advise on why some of my creations are having faults. I'm in no means saying im perfect or my candles are perfect...this was one of my first Gel candles & thats what got me into wanting to make others....For what ever reason these came out good & I was surprised just like you must be..from what i am reading. What, do you think I'm buying these..or what? If i was I wouldnt be making no money on what i am charging... I just wish you guys would give me some slack!!! I'v gottne bashed 4 times tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!Some of my candles are coming out great & some are failing..thats why i am here...Man you guys can break the new guys..i dont know how you guys keep people coming here. Wow! I am kinda speechless & I guess Thanking you at the same time. On that note...I do appciate all opinions & take all in consideration. The webste, I have been setting that up (with the help of my mother n law) with intensions of it not being up for actuall business for a few months no certain number of months.....you see you cant even order off it yet. I posted the website in here to get people to look at it & offer me advise..which so far I am getting. I have been making candles for about 3 months now & when I said I mastered "something" as someone said...I said I had ALMOST mastered how to to do a candle meaning with the wick & wax & container. I learned how to melt wax into a container with a wick. Over the next few weeks I had some fall & some melt to the ground & some have no scent & some about blow your nose off. I searched online & read books & spent I dont know how much money on wax & dyes & scents...as soneones signature said.. My husband said if I buy anymore candle or soap supplies he'll leave me....... I'll miss him!! ..welll I was that wife to..litterally. lol I have tested & tested & tested & one reason I have come here..to learn more. I have figured out how to get a pillar to stand & melt very well I have to say & finally figured out the scent thing. My first thing I did was chunks..& then switched to Gel candles, which I can do alot better then paraffin wax candles. Again I have tested those as well & have noted to anyone I have sold to (which has ONLY been family so far) that it is just for decoration only! I dont want the embeds to burn (which I know they will) Once again..thank you for your comments & they will be taking in consideration. You guys are hash & maybe thats what i need, but i have to say you know how to make someones day grim. Angie B
