Yeah I figured that. I stayed up late to figure out my problem,lol. I got that recipe from the Kathy Miller site.

I figured it out. Its the cocoa butter. If not tempered properly, it will cause white streaks!!! Whew!

Those little swirls are not supposed to be like that I dont think.They are a different consistency from the rest if the soap kind of like grease or oil that dried or something. It looks so weird and not right.

Castor oil 2 ounces

Cocoa butter 4 ounces

Coconut Oil 4 ounces

Olive oil 12 ounces

Palm oil 10 ounces

lye 4.3 ounces

water 12 ounces

That is the recipe I used.

I dont know what in the heck I am doing wrong. It is also very drying. Made my skin look like scales,lol. Should I try another recipe? Somebody help me.

How is it that some logs from others look totally smooth all around but then others are all "swirly" on the top? Did that make sense to anyone? LOL

Try a tractor supply store,lol. That is where I got mine from. I bought thelast 2 at Bi-Lo.

In your mold.....I use the ornament ones.....put a bit of colored salt in there and then add your bomb mixture and mold it that way.
