Here is a site that helped me learn about the natural tinting/colorant. I have not ordered from them though.

Thanks ladies. I will email them also. Each EO is so different in its use, so it's hard to even generalize!

I am a new Abange Karite convert. I used to use shea terra, then Kangaroo Blue, but AK is the best, truly.

Hi ladies:
Looked on Bramble's website and didn't find any info for B&B. I did read that you could use 1/2 oz per lb of soap- is that also true for their essential oil blends? I would be mixing an EO blend in with shea butter. I know it's different for each EO - so I would be using the bug be gone blend.
Thanks in Advance.

I ordered from them over Ebay and will never do so again. They took a long time, but blamed it on the holiday rush.(christmas) Obviously they don't want to stay in business.

Thank you Lindsay - I saw those "treatment pumps" on several sites - so now I know exactly what they were talking about - sometimes the descriptions aren't exactly clear.
Thanks again!

hi Ladies:
I have been testing a few new products and am looking for the right containers/tops. I have a facial oil that I am working with and I need advice on what pump top that I could use that would dispense about 1-2 teaspoons of product (less is better.) I have no idea how to measure or gauge how much a pump dipsenses so I am looking to you ladies for help. I would be packaging the product in 2 oz bottles, so it would be a small amount.
Thank you so much, as always, for your help.

Has anyone used their hosting service to host a store? Their prices look really good and they offer a lot of add on services.

Thanks ladysj - I'll just do the ol' trial and error.

Hi all,
I have some glitter from Aromahaven and want to make a 2 oz glitter stick. I have no idea of how much glitter to add, not even a ballpark estimate. Does anyone have any idea of approx. how much glitter (not mica) to add to have the glitter transfer to the skin? Bascially I want to add the glitter to a lotion bar recipe.
Thanks so much!

Now, I am not complaining about this at all - I thought it was kinda funny. I make lotion bars in various shapes and sell them with or w/out tins. Well, I had some of those two oz tubes from elements bath and body and decided to use them as samples - people could rub them on themselves or rub their fingers across the top. These were a bunch of my friends, so it wasn't a big deal. Do you know they bought all the samples???? They wanted the tubes rather than the tins. I laugh because before I left for the show, I showed hubby the tubes and he said, you should just sell them like that.

tried on a pink grapefruit MP - worked pretty well except I need to use a mallet rather than a too-small hammer:shocked2: . The impression it made looked good, but it was a little uneven.

I am a beginner MP person, but I use stearic acid @ 1 TBS per pound. I am still testing, so we'll see how it goes.
PS welcome to the board, there is a boat load of info here!

I am planning on making some fruit punch scented soap for my children. They also like my chocolate soap and lotion bars. However, they do not like the coffee scents and the floral scents.

Hi ladies:
Trying to get a black color soap (drakkar scent) for DH. Tried it and get a grainy-gray look to the soap, if you know what I mean. Any tips for use of this clay in melt and pour?
I used about 2 tsp per lb. of soap. I mixed it in a bit of soap first, then added it to the whole mix, Since I add 1 tsp castor oil, perhaps I should try mixing it with a bit of soap and the castor oil?
Thanks in advance for help!

LOL...They are not ink stamps, they are supposed to stamp a design into your soap, not onto your soap.
I meant raised letters like an ink stamp.
-
I tried to use it, but the soap seems too hard. (I do melt and pour) any tips? I'm no expert, but I expected it to be like an ink stamp. duh on me I suppose!

Hi Ladies:
I purchased the Milky Way Soap stamp that says 'handmade" but when I received it in the mail, it did not work. Basically the stamp is a female stamp, i.e. the letters are recessed rather than standing out like an ink stamp would, kwim? I thought that soap stamps were raised letters or designs on hard resin (or whatever they use). Or do I have a defective stamp?
to explain further, it would make a great stamp for raised letters on playdough, but does nothing on my soap. Does anyone have a Milky Way Soap stamp?

Yes, I got them on the recommendation of the lovely folks on this board and have been quite pleased with the results. They even sent a set of droppers so measuring is a snap! Highly recommended. I use it in my melt and pour soaps.

Anyone try the vanilla flavor oil from Kangaroo blue? It looks like it's pretty new. I just got a request for a Vanilla whipped shea, and I'm placing an order at KB as we speak, so wanted some feedback, if any.
Thanks!

I like it, but I always liked really bright colors. Very pretty.

You might also try clear acrylic spray on regular labels. I get it at ACMoore or Michaels. I make oil based products and so far haven't had a problem with smearing. (so far)

Thanks Suzanne I order some from the gourmet rose, but of course that won't stop me from ordering some Stephenson's too!!
