Devil Woman

Hi All, I make embeds and my marshmallows keep turning off white. I am pretty sure it is the scent that is changing the color on me. About a week after I make them they start to turn color. Is there anything that I can do to keep them a true white? Also this may be a ridiculous question but can you use Titanium Dioxide in wax? I use paraffin wax only. Any help with this would be appreciated. TIA, Devil Woman

Hi Everyone, I would like to start by saying all the Rustic Pillar Candles I have seen on this board are BEAUTIFUL. I just got an order for two pillar candles in graduating heights and would love to try making them Rustic Pillars, I have no idea how everyone is getting them to look like this. How do you get the colors to do that kind of swirl layering thing. Any advise, help or direction would be appreciated. The girl I need to make these for wants Blueberry so I have decided to make them either Blueberry & Cream or Blueberry Cobbler so I will have three colors to play with. I use parrafin pillar wax. Hi Everyone, I am new to the board and have a queston to ask all of you soap makers. I have been making candles for about 7 years, 3 years ago I bought WaxCocoon (a Candle Making Embed business that has almost doubled in size) I am now getting into the soap making. My question is what are the soap embeds made from? I am considering adding a soap embed section to WaxCocoon so any advise or information any of you can give me would be greatly appreciated. That soap is absolutly stunning! I for one would really like to know how you do that. I am new to soaping and after viewing all the BEAUTIFUL soaps all of you do I could never post pictures of any of the ones that I have made thus far, maybe in a year of two.....and even then it will be IFFY!!! Those are AWESOME. I am new to the board and I have been seeing a lot of posts about the Bath Cookies, I just got done making Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Soap at my grandson, nephew and one of my clients request, these Bath Cookies would go great with the soap I made but I have no idea how to make them! I stumbled onto this board the other night and have been reading and looking at all the beautiful soaps you all make. I have not been doing soap for very long, maybe three or four months now. I started with CP soap and have now made three batches of HP soap. I like both methods and at some point will be adding both types of soap to my web site and after looking at all of Brenda's pictures I want to try making whipped soap the way she does! They are so beautiful and creamy looking. I also like the whipped butter stuff that looks like a DO dish of ice cream. I have searched that out also and will be trying that too, I just don't know when I will be able to sleep...LOL! It is a lot of fun but very addicting. I have been doing candles for approximately 9 years and embeds for about 3 years. Some of you may know me has WaxCocoon. Now that I have board you all to death the question I need to ask is: I want to know what is the amount of TD do you add to a 48 to 55 ounce batch of soap? I have tried to swirling and they are not coming out to bad I just need to go further into the mold when swirling. Another question I have is what do you all use for color: liquid, solid, natural, what! There are so many choices out there! Where do you get all of the beautiful colored mica's, the only color I have is a irridescent whitish color, I had no idea you could get mica in so many colors....well I have bothered all of you long enough. I can't wait to get some advise from all you expert soapers and please be patient with me I know I will be asking more questions. TIA, Deb
