  1. I was wondering how to make the whipped soap also? I want to make soap in the shape of a cupcake and use whipped soap for the frosting part and have the bottom (cake part of the cupcake) a bubble bomb. But I don't know how to make the whipped soap. Could anyone help me out with directions? TIA, Devil Woman
  2. Hi, I have dealt with RA for a long time. There customer service is AWESOME. When I first started dealing with them I would order, send a check to them and have my order within 1 week. The most recent order I called in however took me two weeks to get. I called them and they said that it could take up to 14 days to get the order. I don't like waiting that long but the scents are AWESOME. I have been making candles using there scent for years, now I am trying them in soaps! The most recent order I placed (the one that took 14 days to get) I tried Aribian Sandalwood, and OMG what an beautiful scent. This one is definately a keeper. All I can say is give them a try, I am happy with there oils. I don't think I have any from them I don't like. Hope this helps, Devil Woman
  3. Can anyone give some opinions on a kick butt Pomagrante, Mango & Papaya? I need them for soap and any opinions would be helpful. TIA, Devil Woman
  4. Hi Bruce, I use a mold. I haven't the slightest idea were to even begin hand rolling a cinnamon bun with wax, but if you would like to share the instructions on how it is done.... I would definately give it a try. Devil Woman
  5. Hi Everyone, Here is a picture of the Pink Frog on Lily Pad that I got an order for. I also make them in green...LOL! The lily pad is actually a leaf plate and I just painted it up to look like a lily pad, worked perfectly, and everything you see in the picture is 100% made by me! Comments welcomed. Thanks for looking, Devil Woman
  6. Thanks everyone for the kind reply's. In addition to my candle, soap & embed business I own a 5000 plus ceramic studio, that is how I made the plate. I make a lot of my own candle & bath containers. You can go to either of my sites and check them out if you would like. The addy's are: www.waxcocoon.com or www.northcountrycandles.net Again thanks for looking and all the wonderful reply's. I used a 44 wick in this one, not exactly sure what the three numbers are I will check when I go down to the shop. Devil Woman P.S...I had a request for a pink frog, yes pink, I will post the picture of that one later this evening. It came out AWESOME...she is sitting on a lily pad I also made.
  7. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share my cinnamon roll candle. I made one of these up at Christmas time and it only took one person to see it and they started selling like hot cakes. This is completely 100% homemade. I made the candle, the fixins & the plate it sits on. Let me know what you all think of it and thanks for looking.
  8. WOW, then mine wasn't messed up because it looks just like that! Thanks for posting the picture.
  9. Hi All, I am hoping someone out there can help me out. I make candle embeds. I make the little mini marshmallows and for the life of me can not make them stay white. I use NG's Toasted Marshmallow and high melt point (embed wax) wax. I use block coloring and have tried TD and BC dye flake color. Nothing works. When I first pour them they are beautiful after a day or two sometimes not even that long they start to yellow or turn a brownish color. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do. The scent is yellow and I think that is what is causing this. I have also tried TC's mashmallow and the same thing has happened. I think if I can find toated mashmallow or mashmallow scent clear color it will work but I don't know who carries it. If you have any suggestions on how to keep them white of were to get a clear toasted marshmallow scent it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Sorry so long and TIA, Devil Woman
  10. Hi Michelle, I would like to your recipe. I do not have the silk fiber. Is it necessary to add silk fiber to this recipe? If so could you advise has to were to get silk fiber? I am fairly new to soaping and still searching for many items that you expert soapers have. TIA, Devil Woman

  12. I think it came out fabulous. The name definiately matches the bar. What does it smell like? I live in the Pittsburg, NH - nothing but woods up here. Where did you get this scent if you don't mind my asking. Great Job!
  13. Hi CareBear & Diamondk, Thanks for replying. I will patiently await a reply for him, but I gotta tell ya it is killing me, I am not a very patient person....LOL. But I guess the old saying is true, "Anything worth having is worth waiting for". I was starting to think I made him angry at me and for the life of me could not figure out what I had typed to upset him. Again thank-you both for the info. Devil Woman
  14. Hi Everyone, I am really hoping someone can shed some light on this subject. I emailed the Soapmaker Man about his molds he sent back to me with prices & pictures of his molds. I sent back to him asking him how big of a batch each of the molds would hold, so I know which one to buy, and I have not gotten any reply from him. I would really like to purchase one of his molds. Does anyone know if something happened? I am kind of hoping he sees this message and does get back to me soon I want one of his molds like yesterday....LOL! Thanks for your help,
  15. Hi All, I just wanted to share a picture of my first Bath Bombs. They are scented with Queen of the Nile! They smell great and they also work perfect. I have given a couple out to be tested and all good feedback. I have made a couple other scents and now am out of ingredients but rest assure I have more on the way. These are just so much fun to make. I think the next batch I will try adding the stuff to make them bubble, can't remember if it is SALA but I think it is. Thanks for looking and any advise would be greatly appreciated. Devil Woman
  16. Thank-you CareBear, I will give the pringles can a try and then like sell the bowls with soap rather then fill them and then also sell the refills for them....great ideas. Again thank-you both for the help and instruction.
  17. Hi, Beautiful soaps! Did you mix the scent yourself or did you buy it from a supplier? I love Patchouli! If you don't mind sharing and did buy it from a supplier who did you get it from? I am fairly new to soaping and need to find a good soap fragrance supplier. TIA, Devil Woman
  18. Hi, I got these particular bowls in the classifieds but then I also got some from a Coop that was running on this board about a month maybe two ago. They are great. I just poured the soap right into them and it has worked out fine. The only problem I seemed to have was over filling the bowl! Do any of you sell these? If so what do you sell them for? Thanks for all the kind words. CareBear how do you use a pringle can for a mold? I am very new to the soap making world. Thanks again everyone.
  19. Hi All, I have a recipe that I am wanting to try but it calls for Tapioca Pure. My question is what is this and where can I find it. TIA, Devil Woman
  20. Hi Everyone, I decided to make my shaving soaps finally. I made the soap then poured it right into the containers. I filled them a little to much because when I put the lids on they stuck to the soap, but I think they look pretty good for my first try. I scented this batch with a mix of Bendal Bean, Peppermint & Fir and OMG does this smell good! I also want to share my first & second attempt at Salt Bars. They are both good but the first (smaller bar) I waited way to long to cut and really did a hack job on it. The second one is much better but still need to cut it an hour or two sooner. Thanks for looking and any advise will be appreciated. Devil Woman
  21. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to show all of you my second set of Rustic Pillars. I did them with V-Day in mind and scented them with Butterfly Kisses. Thanks for looking, any advise will be greatly appreciated. Devil Woman
  22. Kay, I love the red one. I think it looks really good. The green one is the most beautiful shade of green I have seen yet. GREAT JOB on both!!! Keep up the good work! Devil Woman
  23. Thank-you Eugenia, I didn't get to pour the one's for my boss tonight but will do it in the AM and I will try twirling the mold in my hands. I can see where I waited a too long to pour the second color. I hope they get better with practice. These are a lot of fun to make...thanks again. Devil Woman
  24. Thanks everyone for all the possitive comments. I am now going to go down to the shop and make another set for my boss for Xmas. I also have an order for a Ruffleware Blueberry Bowl w/ cream. Now that I know how to post I will post pictures of both later tonight or tomorrow. Again thank-you all! Devil Woman
