Well i think its just the scent, too light. dipped the other one in wax after adding another ounce, still not strong. at least i know i can make these bears just different fo next time. Lynn the wax done fine , no flakes and his fur is a little stiff.. yet soft and he does look undipped not stiff, just the light fo i used. Ducky i thought i was supposed to squeeze out as much of the wax as i could to keep the bear from being so heavy and to fluff his fur better ? he does have plenty dropped down in his butt , its flat. Christina , i don't know if these will sell around here either .. is why i got only 2 of them. thanks all . i;m going wrap him up they check in about a week, if no strong smell, he will be christmas decoration, i'll put cinnamon pine cones or something around him.

Yes strawberry is light scent , i should have done him in red hot cinnamon or a strong fo. i'm going add another ounce to the wax i have in there and do the other bear since i already have a mess made, only have these 2 bears to play around with, got them new with tags on them at flea market this summer, just to try dipping them. Terri the block got here safe, thank you for going thru the trouble of sending it,

i got wax left so i can add more fo to it before i do another bear, but i guess this one is a lost cause .. yet a lesson learnt. i might have squeezed him to hard, he isn't heavy at all and wax is a tad soft but i did squeeze & twist him good now i got a mess to clean up, i think i have wax on everything in my kitchen LOL! and boy this bear was hot to handle even with rubber gloves.

I done this bear this morning, he looks ok but there is not a strong smell, i used strawberry fo, 1 oz per lb of wax, could i inject it with some more fo and get a stronger smell or does bears have to cure like candles ? :rolleyes2 i used ky perfectblend wax. first one i done and i'm not happy with him.

Another vote for ky's icy peppermint, i have some tarts made up in this fo and already in bags tied with wire, yet you can walk by the storage room where i have these on a shelf and they are strong.

A chip or block of mauve color would be better, i'm not the best at getting the correct color when mixing 2 colors . does anyone know of a place closer to me, by the time peaks gets my moneyorder and mail the dye to me , it will take about 2 weeks. and i rather have the chip or block because i never needed this color before and i hate to spend a lot on a bottle of it and chances are never need it again, i just need enough to do about 16 tarts. i got paypal now but it takes just as long on it, ( kind i got) thought it was the one where they tranfer money straight over to anothers paypal account. anyway i don't know if peaks takes it. thank you all

Thanks Fern, i hadn't never seen that color any place. if shipping is fast i should be able to order it, only trouble is it will proably cost me a fortune to ship just one dye block. i think she only wants it in time to mail before christmas.

Thanks Candleman.. chart says purple & yellow, i wouldn't thought of that. this lady wants diffrent scents in her basket of tarts but wants them all mauve colors LOL! so i'm going to try to do it, i 'm just going have a hard time making amish harvest , mandarin spice , cremebrulee and cranberry spice all in mauve color just because the lady has a mauve color in her house, that she's sending it to.

this lady wants tarts made in mauve color LOL! does anyone know what colors to mix or where the color chart is ? i had one on my other puter but it crashed.

The super market has some like that where i shop at, for different fruit scents, like a apple shape for apple cinnamon. i bought a candle at the family dollar store the other day just for the container. i think those are cute.

First thing came to my mind, while looking at pictures was, beautiful products but fading into the fabric, you need a deep rust , orange, gold for fall and the christmas theme a pretty red or green. you got beautiful products girl, show them off and let them shine . as i read other replys i see i'm not the only one see's this. wanted to give my honest opinion, yet not to offend. any pretty dark colors are going to look great,

I made tarts from the ky's oatmeal raisin cookies, had to order it twice , my son loves it. it does smell good but i haven't use bluegrass. i use kyparsoy for tarts.
-

Having fun, spending time together, making memories plus a great candle, who could ask for more.

Smores, that's what i was thinking also, she might not know that i can make them with out color. i'm going call her before i fill the jar up.
-
great job, those are pretty, and they are soft looking like they haven't been dipped. i saw one a candle shopped and she dipped her's in soy. they looked like that.
-
all pretty, but my pick is mulberry, then lemon pound cake. great color.

ok, going try the mojitto cocktail first, should i melt a lb of wax for the 1 oz fo, or should i cut back a little since i don't know how strong it is yet . thank you all for the in put.

I mailed my order with check on this past sat, cause mail didn't run on friday, yesterday the ups mail stepped up on my porch and shocked me with my order from just scents, it had only been 3 days. i thought i would have to wait at least 4 or 5 days to get a check cleared.

Those are neat, love the green color. i got to find me a good tangerine scent .
-
Butterfly, i didn't use color on those tarts. i use kyparsoy for tarts/votives. and i think the camera makes them look whiter than they are, the cremebrulee turns them more of a cream color but i make some peppermint tarts and they did stay snow white.
