  1. Thanks everyone for all the ideas! I was just really stuck!

I am not a huge floral fan... but I feel "comfort" with honeysuckle. Don't know why... just do. It just seems beautiful, and lively, yet delicate and feminine.

I hope that doesn't sound corny!

I really love Honeysuckle Jasmine from Candle Science... and honeysuckle from the candle source.

    HTH

Not corny at all!!! I looked up the flower meanings of honeysuckle and jasmine:

    Honeysuckle: Sweetness Of Disposition

    Jasmine, White: Amiability and Cheerfulness

That really sums her up, I think! Does the Honeysuckle Jasmine from CandleScience throw well in soy? (ecosoya 135)

  2. LOL....ok...maybe I should reword my question. If you have ever known someone who always seemed to be "comforting" when you were in their presence...the kind of person who was always kind...and their smile lit up a room, that everyone found "comfort" in her presence, and they passed away from Cancer...and you wanted to create a candle in thier memory...what scent would you think of?

  3. Found this on the Belle Aire website.

Global Habitats - This is an exotic fragrance collection featuring sophisticated scents inspired by the four major biomes of the world. Experience the scents of the forests with Woodland Moss, Rain Forest Teak and Asian Forest. The freshness of Grasslands in Tall Grasses, Prairie Flowers and Savannah Gold. The Desert comes alive with scents of Aloe & Yucca, Flowering Cactus and Desert Garden. And lastly the wonderful scents of the Mediterranean come forth in Olive Tree, Herbs by the Sea and Mediterranean Garden.

I tried to email but something seems to be wrong with their form. I'll try calling Monday. I am most interested in Woodland Moss, Rain Forest Teak and Asian Forest. Anyone know if any of the regular suppliers carry these fragrances, or has anyone tried them?

  4. Here's my take on MC Honeysuckle in Ecosoya. Poured it Wed. Great cold throw right away. Hot throw today after 48 hrs is very nice. Not too strong...but throws a good distance which I didn't get from the others. I've tested NG and IFT and so far I like this one the best. I think it's truer than the other two I've tested.

  5. Thanks for the review, Groovy Chic! It's really great to hear it from a fellow chandler.

I did get this from their Customer Service rep today in case anyone else was interested.

"We've had very good results with VDM in soy. Our testers reported excellent, strong hot and cold throw with a short cure time of a couple of days. There were several tests done, including 100% soy, one using ecosoya 135, some with another soy votive blend. Additionally, we tried it in crystal palm but we were not happy with our results. Then again, we found crystal palm very difficult to scent successfully.

Of course, we always suggest that you test your particular wax and wick combo."

  6. You take off from your table like the woman on "WaterBoy" at the end going after her husband!!! You tackel her table , get up brush your self off. Look her right in the eye and say " your candles are mixed with glass, thats not considered natural." And walk away :P

    Just Kidding

    Paula

LOL...that would be me. Luckily I usually have someone with me to grab me by the shirt and hold me back. devil.gif

Just kidding too, but I like how Paula thinks! hello.gif
