  1. I use ProPay and can process the CC's over my cell phone from shows. I also have a manual swiper that I use at home shows. I just get as much info as possible, name, address, phone #, driver's license, etc. Just in case there is a decline. I've gotten quite a bit of credit card sales since I started accepting them and people tend to buy more too when they can charge it.

  2. Since you use PayPal, you can sell gift certificates thru them. Go to your profile, then under Financial Info, click on Gift Certificates and you can create one from there. Whoever buys the certificate can have it e-mailed to the recipient or they can print it out. Only down side is the recipient has to have or open a PayPal account to redeem it.

  3. I used candy cane embeds that I made myself, but they weren't scented. I'm thinking it has to be the FO because I made snowman gels using snowman embeds I made with the same wax but using a different FO and they are crystal clear.

  4. A few years ago, my daughter's class went to Amish Country here in PA and one of the stops was a candle shop. I saw pretty much the same thing. The demonstration was fun to watch. They poured wax out of a spigot from a big melter into a metal pour pot, tossed in some powdered dye and additives, then poured the FO straight out of the gallon container into the wax. No measuring whatsoever. I guess they don't know about wick pins for votives either because they just poured the wax into the molds and plopped the wick in. No wonder they don't have centered wicks. I didn't buy any but they were selling them pretty cheap.

  5. Does anyone know of a supplier that sells Peppermint FO that won't turn yellow over time? I had about 30 small gels left over from XMas that was clear with candy cane embeds and the clear turned to a ginger ale color. Pretty nasty looking.

    TIA!

  6. I store mine is glass jars also. I make up a bunch in different scents, then when I'm ready to make ornies, they're ready to go.

As for the size, you have to think about whether or not you'd be willing to sell the ornies if someone were to like the freebie they got. If you are, I'd go with the 3 in size. If not, go smaller. I sell these like crazy so you might be starting something for yourself here!!

  7. $350 seems like alot to me, only because our little league asks that much for a 2 year sponsorship, name on the shirts and a big sign on the field. I sponsored a soccer team for the last two years at $150 and got nothing out of it except a crappy fundraiser. I'm not saying don't do it, because your area might be different from mine, but maybe find out some other people who have sponsored and ask them how it worked out for them before you shell out that kind of money. Also, ask if the football team has a program that you can advertise in. Our high school offeres ad space in the programs that are handed out at each home game. Good luck with whatever you decide!
