I have an ink jet. I didn't want to use mine for printing such bulk labels (every scent and business labels). I wonder if I use my logo and go to a print shop (don't even know where I'd find one around here), if they could print them for me? I'll check into it tomorrow along with the hundreds of other candle stuff I've got to do. Hope you all had a great weekend.

I second the heat gun (or oven) and paper towels. It works great and is much cheaper.

www.soapandcandlemolds.com although they are higher than some, www.flexiblemolds.com are really good. I just got more of theirs in yesterday. HTH!

yeah, like yours, there's little traffic at the mall I'm in, too. I didn't realize before I started it. Word of mouth seems to be the best advertisement so far. I am working on a site and I think once I get it going, I will do much better. I am (or was) a little over anxious, but am getting better. I switch out candles every uweek, so that the same ones aren't always sitting there. At least that way, it at least looks like they are selling. LMAO! The store owner and the clerks rave about them and talk about how they smell up the whole 2 isles around them. I think it will take some time (and as I said, I am in a small booth). Thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one like this. It always helps to know that there are others in your shoes.

I wick up if only using one wick, sometimes I will double wick it. I only use soy and they burn wonderful. I have a hard time giving them up sometimes.

Hmmm!! Just what I need... more fo's!! Gonna give it a try though. Only going to get a few... wish me luck.

Just a little fyi, you can get these at Michaels, and some hobby lobby's. I have found it to be cheaper to buy them there instead of ordering and paying shipping. JMO

These are one of my biggest sellers. I whip the topping like always, but I fill the mug 3/4 full with reg. wax, let it set up and then put the topping on and whatever embeds I use to decorate with (to match fo). I've gotten to where I make more of these than I do any kind of jar. HTH

There's Houston Candle Supply in Houston. I'm down there about every other week. They are really good, too! HTH!

Funny you should post this...I just made some. I made regular 8 oz. jelly jars with them because I didn't want to invest much money until I knew how they'd sell. They are a big seller. I got the fo from brighterscents.com. I don't know who else carries it, but my tester says it's wonderful! HTH

I started w/ craft shows and word of mouth. Passing out samples for a long time, making flyers, making specials. Then the craft mall. A website is what everyone wants to be able to go to nowadays...IMHO. HTH

I'm looking to put labels on my packaging and jars since business is growing. I don't want to use my printer because I would like to do in bulk. Does anyone have any suggestions on a site that does labels for candles? Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

I do know that www.soapandcandlemolds.com will make any kind of mold you want--they may have some that you are looking for. I had a birthday cake mold made custom through them and it was wonderful!! HTH!

When I first start melting my tarts, the have a wonderful throw. After about 15-20 min. they start smelling like something is burning (or burned wax). Could this be the warmer that I'm using, or the wax? I have pulled the tarts from my store until I can figure out what could be causing this. I haven't had any of my testers say anything about it. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks?

I don't use anything. When cooled completely, I turn them upside down on parchment paper, tap the bottom of each cup, and they pop right out. HTH!

I can't believe how quick I got my order! I just want to thank all of you that recommended JS to me! Trying something new was not an easy step for me to take, but I think I made a good decision (with all of your help )! I spoke with Becky for a while yesterday and she's going to be a pleasure to do business with (and she spoke highly of you too!). I've also never received so many "freebies" either! Every fo ordered (the sassy sweet tarts is a little iffy) smells wonderful oob--can't wait to put it in wax! I will have a busy weekend!
P.S. AngelaVA....you've gotta order it with your order this week...it's mouth watering!!
THANKS EVERYONE!!!!

The zinc wick is a good wick. It does ball up, but it is the best burning wick IMHO. All wicks are going to have faults, but I use and love this one! HTH!

I posted a few days ago about using the same supplier for fo's because I didn't know of any others. I had just ordered 30 new fo's when I posted that. I have been so curious hearing you all rave about JS, that I had to do it!! Now I'm pacing! I can't wait to get them. I thought their site was fun and their fo listing makes you want them all!! So here's more to add to my collection (Is there a forum for fo addicts?):
Banana Berry Smoothie,Berry Liscious,Caribbean Holiday,Cinnamon Vanilla,Cinnamon Donuts,Coc. Cream Pie,Fruit Slices,Jo's Pink Lemonade,Key Lime Pie,Orange Dreamsicle,Sassy Sweet Tarts,Spiced Apple Pecan,Yahoo!Berry Lemonade.
If you've tried any of these from them, let me know how they are. I'm so excited to try something (and someone) new! Thanks to all for the references... I'll let ya know how I like 'em!

I mixed it with cinnamon vanilla and it was much better. I tried it in the mini (tart size) grubby loaves because I didn't know how they'd do, and I've had requests for bigger ones. I can't bring myself to order the fo again. It was awful until I blended it. HTH
