  1. Congratulations! MichelleB's recipe is hands down my absolute favorite as well! The longer your bars cure the better the soap is. I have had nothing but rave reviews on all my batches made with this wonderful recipe! Great job on your first batches. You are going to be hooked now! I have played around with several recipes, but still keep coming back to this one.

  2. Oh.. those do look wonderful! Thanks for the heads up! Where do you buy Celstial colors?

Ohhh...step away from the Select Shades!!! See this thread here...these are the ones that I used the Celestial Colors on for the first time. I think only 3 or 4 of the soaps use either Select Shades (the lime green for sure) or cocoa powder for colorant. Other than that, the other 10 or 11 logs are using Celestial Colors...and nope....no bleeding! (yet)

  3. For the white bears, I would say any type of fresh clean or floral scent. Just be careful the FO itself isnt dark in color, or is known to cause yellowing or discoloration of the wax. I want to try one with Vanilla, but am scared it may discolor the white bear.

I may try one with cinnamon on a tan or brown bear.

I bought one from Grumpygirl that was made with Vanilla. It was snow white when I got it several months ago and it still is. HTHTeri

  4. Oh.. talk about vomit soap! That is too funny... I have had my last 4 batches have issues. I so could kick those soap fairies in the hiney! I am dying for a nice pretty batch.. just wanted you to know that my soap looks like vomit on top too.. and I am using fragrances that I have never had issues with before.. go figure!

  5. you (not for ME, but YOU can) can always rebatch what you get out!

Firegirl, a hint for your TOG mold. If you get a little soap leaking out of the liners you can easily scrape it out with a credit card - fits perfectly and won't mar the wood.

Thanks CB.. so far, so good.. I am in LOVE!

  6. Are you talking Scent event oils? As they are not her regular line and she makes no claim except they are high quality oils. If CC's regular oils were on sale for that price, I'd be buying up a bundle. Most of her regular ones I have tried are very good, but have never tried the Scent event ones as I'm not sure you could get repeat of the same oils, in the future, if you really liked them. jmho. Edit: Yes, I just saw in the other forum, it is the Scent events oils. I'm tempted, but made up my mind to never buy a large bottle without testing a sample first. Hard to stick to, though...lol.

    Ditto!
