RJ's has some nice little bottles too I put mine in a 8 oz tin with a feather duster. Its much better than the KS kind.

Aawww that sucks!!! Sorry about that.... let me pull out my other one (pardon the pun...that did sound very porn star-ish)
My body paint calls for 1 packet of unflavored gelatin, 1/4 cup hot water (set aside); the second part calls for 1/2 c cornstarch and 1 3/4 c of hot water. Cook cornstarch on low heat until thickened, add gelatin mixture and add 1/4 c glycerin. Tint with food coloring and add extract.
Might try it again...I was eager to use it one night so its possible that I might have messed it up

Its been a long time since I've even been in the market for a body paint, so maybe I am expecting too much out of mine.

Ooh Ooh I do!
Now I am NOT a fan of KS honey dust...its disgusting to me.
So I made this one:
(My apologies in advance for hijacking)
1/4 c Cornstarch
few drops of extract (I used strawberry and vanilla)
Sift and let dry thoroughly. Add powdered sugar/honey to taste. Sift again.
HTH

Is it thick? Is it opaque?
The glycerin I don't mind...but this stuff was down right disgusting. LOL!!!

I haven't tried this yet...I love my edible massage oil, but the recipe (for body paint) I had no matter how much I tweaked it just came out like ghetto baby food. It had corn starch and knox gelatin.
Wasn't happy. I thought it was supposed to be more paste/pudding like?
Not sure...someone clue me in.

Rochell,
Have you found any colored ones? I know that TSS has the red ones, but they only sell them in 8 oz bottles. I like the tops on those, the ridges on this lid somewhat bothers me.

Meridith,
I actually used my original recipe and its still whipped (Praise God)....I didn't have any kokum or lanolin to try and needed to get these out before I had to sedate my mother
Thanks, though-- I am looking forward to trying it!

Here is my body butter in the new low profile jars that I just got from Specialty Bottle. I'm not crazy about the tops, so we will see if they will wear on me or if I will change them.
The label is new...I sized the picture wrong, so I will spread the logo a little further away from the Product Name at the bottom.

I used the "seafoam" color for a candle of mine (Bliss); of course I had teal color chips and just cut a small small corner and dropped into the wax. Its a very pretty pastel bluish green
