  1. What soy wax are you using? I find if I put my soy pillars in the freezer when the molds are still warm to the touch, it allows the pillar to contract from the mold and aids in release. Give that a shot.
  2. Depending on the type of soy you have, based on experience, I find adding the oil at that low of a temp., will prohibit the oil from binding to the wax. Soy goes through a stage of crystallization while curing. If you add at a higher temp, you take the chance of burning off your oil and your soy may have a yellow tinge to it. 145 is a temperature that I have always found secure with my oils. Cure the jar for 24-48 hours or more then test for hot throw. If your not getting the throw your expecting, up the temp 5-10 deg. and try again.
  3. I add my colour and f/o at 145 and pour at 125 and have had great success. Give that a try and see what happens. I also test every new lot# of soy that I receive. Considering Soy is a natural product, each batch will have a slight difference to them. Yes this hobby can be pretty expensive especially if you are planning on retailing your products to stores. You want to make sure that your have a perfect product when placed on the shelves. Every new bottle of f/o I receive and lot of wax gets retested for scent throw, glass adhesion and frosting before I mfg. bulk for retail outlets.
  4. I place mine under hubbies butt to get him going on house chores!!
  5. WOW...love those colours. May I ask how long it took you to finish that?
