Once when I ordered from bcn, they forgot something I had ordered. When I called customer service, they knew who I was even before giving my name because they had realized their mistake and were just going to call me. They sent out my stuff that day, and when I got it, the person who had made the mistake sent a little note saying "sorry" and gave me a chocolate chip cookie. Nice.

LOL ok so that made me laugh! Gotta order from a supplier that ships Im sorry chocolate chip cookies!!! Sorry.. that just made me smile!

I really like their fragrances. Try thier Kama Sutra scents. Do you make candles or B&B? Satin Sheets is my best seller for bath and body. Passionate Kisses is great with elderly ladies, but I renamed it Heavenly. They love it. All of their fragrances are great in candles, also.

Passionate kisses is a HUGE hit with my 20 something friends lol.. not elderly. funny how different markets like different things

Do you have any soap molds you can use as tart molds? It could save you some money starting out. Eg. I have some milky way molds that can also be used for candle making. Just a thought.

Just check to make sure the wax pouring temp is compatible with the mold type.

Good point.. I will see what i have.. right now i am doing them in metal muffin tins!

I use a mini muffin pan that makes 24 muffins. with 1 pound of wax, i fill that and have enough for 1 or 2 more. they are about 3/4 of an ounce

ok so I found a case of the wax you all sugested. 10lbs for $20 canadian. Does that sound right? also how many melts would that make.. melts in a mini muffin tin are 1oz? less...

Jenny, melts are so much fun to make! And SOOO addictive! We use straight 130 MP par., add a little vybar, and a tad more than 10% FO /lb. (I know, I know, but I love a killer, long lasting tart!)

Medicated will irratate the sore spots but it will also help depending on what the cause of his skin condition is. I have Psorisis on my scalp and I have to use medicated shampoo to get rid of it when it "breaks out'. I find the fall and winter to be worse for it... this probably didnt help but I know his pain... but I would be careful to just chock it up to dandruff... as in a lot of cases its not...so Head and Sholders or whatever wont REALLY work... may seem to but as soon as u stop using it it will come back..

candy molds work well for this.. you can get them anywhere... save the shipping and have some to play with very fast.

eta: also ice cube trays work.. you can find fun shaped ice cube trays at dollerstores and such

The lye was bought from canwax, and I am one of the others with it.. I have used only this lye from the same bag for the last two months or more with out a problem... thats what adds to the weirdness factor of this.. It is 100% lye, and from a soaping suppler.
