  1. so i've made some decent bath bombs recently, but today, wow, reminded me of a cow pattie, way to much witch hazel, finnaly i gave up trying to mold it, so i let it sit in the bowl w/ a paper towel over it, got home and had a poofy pattie, question is this, has anyone just broken down the remenents back into powder and packaged the powder in a bag, say two or four oz ammts and touted it as something like a "silky bath powder"?????/

  2. Thanks to all for the advice, and support, i will definatley got w/ just the one jar (10 oz) and cut back on the fo sizes. Goal is to provide the best product i can, and hopefully eventually make a profit.

and believe me, i expect the unexpected, heck, i make a tidy profit playing poker, other people do some unexpected things, lol.

  3. Should be getting my tax refund check in the next couple of days, and i've decided that i'm going to try and take candles and lotions beyond a hobby and the occasional sale to some friends and co-workers. needed to add that i have my wifes support

so my plan is to see what i can do with a "small":rolleyes2 start up investment 600 - 750 dollars

the products, tarts, votives, and containers (ocassionally some octagon pillars, they are the ony

only pillars ppl like at my work)

and candle additives i'm sure there will be others.......

  4. Those look great! I really want to try this, LOL! Do you wait until the first layer is completely cooled, then pour the next layer a little hotter?

not sure if how i do it is the correct way (if there is one) but the bottom half is not all the way cooled, cool enought that the two colors wont combine into one, every time i've waited until the bottom layer is completly cooled, it seems that there is a "line" or almost an indent where the two colors meet, thats the best i can describe it, still pretty new to the candle world.:tongue2:

  5. :undecided so i'm gunna pass on gemlite_div, got 4 16 oz bottles, 1 of orange creamsicle, pearberry, pearrasberry, and strawberry cream, the strawberry cream and orange creamsicle have a strong fuel smell IMO oob, the pearberry and pearrasberry or ok imo at best. and of course, even before i got them, but after i already ordered them, i read the threads on here that were not to flattering about the FO's from this ebay seller, just the thoughts of this newb, back to the candlesource, candle chem, and i am gunna try peaks as they are in CO and i'm in Nebraska

  6. I should be getting some in from gemlite_div (seller id also has store) i'm gunna try them because of the great prices, but also leary because of the prices, will let ya know my thoughts on them, other than that, again, candlesource and candlechem, both have given me great products w/ outstanding customer service
