I heard the infrared temp guns aren't that accurate but a regular meat thermometer is just fine for me, it seems to be accurate.

I've made a fair amount of scented candles in glass containers before but recently I decided to make a yellow one with a lemon sherbert scent and something strange happened, it appears to have white crystal formations throughout the candle. It's not like frosting and I'm using paraffin wax.
