  1. What's the thing about Jasmine Night and is there a difference between this and Jasmine?  I've seen quite a few perfumes showing Jasmine Night as one of the fragrances.  Although, I can't seem to tell where there should be any reason why regular old jasmine would work.  My only thought is that one might be more potent in scent than the other.  Do any of you know?  Thanks!!!

  2. I'm afraid, not really.  I've looked around and found that for the most part Solid Perfumes are made for short time frames.

I believe some people have mentioned that the reason for this is in case someone would like a different scent at a later time of the day...

  3. Thanks TT!!!  At least I know now rather than spending the money and then be disappointed.  Yeah, I too have been looking for making it more like a lip balm.  Don't really want to buy anymore beeswax cause I used a little when I first started and found that it didn't work well with me.

  4. Thought you might like an update!  I recently obtained some Red (Macintosh) Apple fragrance and put it in the mix for that perfume!  So, the apple blossom that I was asking about stayed in the middle like it originally did and the new scent smells great with the others!!!!  Thanks for your ideas though!!!!!!!!🙂

It would be great to meet you! We will be there Monday sometime in the morning.  I saw that they close at 4:00 now but that's OK because we're staying in Ashland and will have the whole day to sniff, sniff, sniff.  The lady there last time said that sometimes customers sniff for awhile then take a break and go eat lunch then come back and sniff some more.  We may do that.  :)

I have a list of what I want to smell, like last time.  This time I'll be able to do it justice because I won't be rushed.  I will try to stay away from spring/summer scents because I already have so, so many I need to use.  May smell some for future reference though.  I do need to restock Aloe & White Lilac.

I want to smell the apples and pumpkins because I just did a very successful fundraiser and the lady wants to do another one next fall with just fall scents.  They sold lots and lots of Pumpkin and Apple and she wants even more candles next year.  It's someone I know so I'm pretty sure she'll follow through.  I used NG's Apple Cinnamon for one of my apple scents.  I may get a couple more of those.

Want to smell the different Cinnamons too because those sold well too.  Some scents I want to smell to compare with the same scent I have from another supplier.

I envy you being only 15 minutes away!  But even if I was too, I would still have to buy my favorites online from other suppliers.  That's why I should stop adding more suppliers.  Like my most recent one,  Bitter Creek.  But now that I've tried their Pumpkin Cheesecake,  I will have to order from them again sometime.  :)

I'm sorry, I know this is an old topic.  But, I was thinking of ordering some apple cinnamon from NG and was wondering if you blended this with anything GailC?  I mainly just pick up singles to blend, so this would be a new one for me...

    Thanks 🙂

  6. When blending these types of fragrances together, I know that you usually only use a certain amount of each.  This way it balances the scents out when I make my perfume...  However, I'm wondering if I could use a middle note such as Apple Blossom as a top note.  Would that overpower the rest of the blend?  What do you think?  All the ones I'm using in this one are: Vanilla, Apple Blossom, Jasmine & Musk.  Thanks.

  7. We got our HP Office Jet Pro 8715 printer from Costco a few years back.  It was on sale for around $70 originally around $120.  We refilled the ink there until they decided to stop doing refills anymore.  So, quite often we watch for sales in order to buy the cartridges now.  If you need to buy ink though, 2 black and 2 color will be almost as much as the printer.

But, for the most part it's been really good to me as far as label printing goes.  Nice thing too is that it will do copying and fax too if you have a phone line.

  8. I don't make candles, so I can't really criticize.  However, I do know that your first post promoting/selling your items is really bad taste.

If he/she did come back there are a few questions that could be asked of them.  One important one would be what help/info they were wanting to obtain.  But, until then I'm afraid there's not a whole lot that can be done from this end...

  9. I was wondering if any of you use scales for weighing fragrances.  I was thinking of getting one that will weigh in grams to make it easier when making my solid perfume.  It would need to be able to weigh in half grams though.

If so, please tell me which ones you use!  Also, where did you obtain it from?  I'm not really looking to spend an arm and a leg either.

    Thanks.

  10. Update.   I've really enjoyed using the metal containers for my solid perfumes!!!  And, everyone who gets them from me has as well!!!  Also, there have been a few of the dollar tree plastic containers that I have used that have cracked.  So, I now only use the plastic ones for myself until I use up those...

  11. I'm afraid that I'm not sure how much help I can be.  But, one thing I can share is that when I'm looking to make a new blend I constantly look at this website.  https://www.mefragrance.com/fragrance-oils.cfm

It doesn't have every scent out there, but enough to help me out enough.  Each item on here will tell what scents blend with which as well as if the one you're looking at is a top, middle or base note.  At least it gives me an idea as to what to look for.

I hope this helps you out at least some...
