  1. If you havent' checked Save on Scents (S0S), they have a good selection of Yank scents. I have been looking for years for a dupe of Yank Patchoulli. It is my favorite scent of all time. I have bought so many samples trying to find something close....nothing works!

  2. The burn(s) did not go well. It didn't even get a full melt pool after 4 hours on the first burn or 4 hours on the 2nd burn. Finally got a full on on the third. NO throw at all on the 1st and 2nd burn...which makes sense if the melt pool is weak. Weak throw on the 3rd burn....not up to my standards. The FO is a tried and true kick butt scent, so......Sure I could wick up....etc. But I have used this size for years and has always been fine. Supplier has had not other complaints and has been as helpful as they can. So I am going to start playing with it a bit. Maybe a lower pour temperature... I don't know. Maybe try to mix it with another wax. I am kind of grasping at straws. Been focusing on my other stuff like pillars, melties and votives while I ponder this situation.

  3. Oh my goodness, I just opened a new case that I got about a month ago and it is not the same wax. It is from a very reputable supplier and is labeled as 4630. When I was cutting it up, I was thinking wow this doesn't seem quite right. But, I really thought it was my imagination and wasn't worried about it at all. I just went out to check my candles and there is so much shrinkage. I will def. have to repour. 4630 is not a repour wax. I was totally unprepared for that. I have been pouring tons of candles and I have been using this wax for years because it is such a friendly wax to use. This stuff that I have now is not. So my questions is...was there a reformulation and I missed it? I am a bit in a panic because I have no idea what to expect from it. I am getting ready for a huge party and now I have to test this to see what I am dealing with.....crap

  4. I am a fan of both of these suppliers. But I am wondering if anybody has tried the Harvest from JS and NG to see if they are similar. I was also wondering the same for the mulled cider that they both carry. The only one that I have tried is the JS Harvest and it is very good. Another comparison that I was interested in was Black Raspberry Vanilla that they both carry.

If anyone has experimented with other ones that could be compared, that would be also great information.

    thanks!

  5. Oh, so glad this got posted because I have a list of ones that I want to try. The Blood Orange was one of them.

Jen, what does the acerola cherry smell like...is it sweet or tart? I really want to do a cherry and she has so many. Has anyone tried the cherry slushie or the Cherry Jelly Bean. I am trying to decide between those three.

  6. When I put too much scent on them, I have had them fall apart. 1 drope of FO seems to work the best for me. I tried 3 had the rose fell apart. The spritzing idea sounds good. I havent' tired that

  7. I am sure that Peak's will be fair and there will not be an issue of you having to pay shipping. Once the wick pins come back in stock, they will be able to send them to you and I am sure they will not ask you to pay shipping. The customer service really is excellent.

  8. I love the smell of Spiced Cranberry, but I haven't been able to get it to throw in any of my waxes...weird because I really love Peaks FO's and rarely have that trouble. My favorites and kick butt in all three of my waxes (none of which are soy) are:

    Blueberry Muffin

    Cinnamon Buns

    Sweet Pumpkin Spice

    White Tea & Ginger

    Hazelnut Cappi

and Bayberry (which is my favorite of all time - love it)

I can't speak for the Patchoulli, but Peak's Lavender is the best I have tried. I have to use 1/4 to 1/2 less then what I would normally use depending on my application (wax, spray, lotion, etc)

Probably nothing you didn't already know though, but just in case : )
