Hi there, I use Aztec gold and it looks exactly like a beer!
Thanks for the info. I'll give that a try first. I figured I'd start with a gold and add yellow if I needed to lighten or a little brown or red to darken it a bit.

I think those are great. I love the mushroom in the background of the second one.

What are you going to use wax or gel?

We want to do some beer glasses and am wondering if anyone has done something similar and what color combinations that worked.
TIA

I pull out the wick pin and wick it before I do my second pour. That way the wick is totally secured with the second pour.
I've got a big 6 x 9.5 3 wick mold that I'm going to try for the first time this weekend, I'll try that method on it. Thanks for everyones advice, it's much appreciated.

Shoot. I just did my second pour and came back and saw your post. Oh, well next time. That makes sense.

I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Tonight is my first time using a wick pin. I've made lots of candles but never used this method of wicking. I figure I'll save myself a lot of frustration and ask stupid questions now. I understand putting the wick through after cooling but what keeps it in tight? I know the hole is not that big, but it still seems that it will just be loose in there.

The lid from a mason jar works great. Thanks for the replies.

I ordered a bunch of these molds and am just now starting to recieve them. Probably a pretty stupid question and one I should of thought about before ordering, but how do you use these? Should I make special mold holders for each one or does anyone out there have suggestions on an easier way? Thanks in advance for the input.:undecided
Thank you for the responses, but I think maybe I didn't phrase the question well enough. I should add that these molds don't have bases on them and are flat bottomed not concave. I thought that the wick pins might stabalize the mold from tipping over during the pour, but they still don't seem that safe.

First time using Harmony Blend. I like it. This turned out a little too powder blue for me but it's workable.
