I just made a diaper cake. Mine was a little different, I used a receiving blanket around it. The top had sports related items as we knew it was a boy! Everyone loved it!

The color variation is probably due to the way it was cooling. That happens a lot with those plastic molds, especially with the crystallizing waxes.

That being said,

You know what they look like to me? They look like those rock eggs you can get all over the place down in Mexico!! I have a HUGE collection of them from when my dad would go and more recently when I went.

That's what I thought when I saw them. I think they look great!
