  2. You should get a heat gun like the ones they have in the paint section. It gets really hot but then you would only need to use it for a very short amount of time over the tart hench no melting. I tend to wave mine instead of pointing directly over it for too long.

that's what mine is.....I got mine in paint/wallpaper section.... only mine was about 30 bucks...*only cause it's small town hardware store* lol

but prolly what you have. Ok I'll try them once and see how it works.

    Thanks girls

  3. what if you froze the tarts first?

I have had done that, sometime left to long, yup it crack right to the middle. :(

now, I wonder if it's the blowdryer I use, don't get hot enuf to shrink the wrap quick enuf that the longer I use it the more it gets melted on edge.

could that be it? would a more efficent heat gun work better, if so, what kind, cause the heat gun I have, is MEGA POWERFUL AND MEGA HOT...it's more industrial kind...lol not sure if that's right for shrink wrapping.

    any help would be appreciated!

  4. Hi everyone,

    I make jumbo tarts, with 50/50 para-soy votive/pillar blend

and lately When I shrink wrap it, the edge of my tarts gets melted and I'm not fond of it...I like my product to look appealing, not sloppy.

Now, Since i have put them in cello bag and tied it with homespun.

now...the not so appealin bout that is...the wax kinda smears inside the bags.

    UGH!! any suggestion??? please!!

  5. Candybee-thanks,

Yeah, I think I could handle maybe 15 year round, maybe. I suppose you learn what sells and how much you need to keep on hand. What if you get an order that you can't cover? Do you just do some fast ordering and see if the customer can giver you a couple of days?

I thought i'd jump in here....Most of times, with orders, on my site, I always ask for up to 2 weeks to complete an order, that way it gives me time to make them if I have orders behind it that needs to be completed, also time to reorder supplies needed, etc. Expecially around holiday times.

    Hope that helps.

  6. you really should not use fo on pets. it is a leave on product and they lick themselves and would ingest the fo. and eo's are tricky too.

  7. hi there,

i've done some bears, I would use any scents that would tickle my fancy.

i first inject them with syringe in different area...no they won't leak. :)

then i would put them in scented wax with brown dye...just tinted a bit so that they don't look like white dandruff all over the bear..lol

let it satruate for few min. then tong them out and wear a rubber gloves and squeeze it out.....prop them on a rack, and then take a fork, comb, toothpick and fluff out the fur on the bear....also try to smooth out his bottom a bit

cause the wax and bear's butt will have waffle lines from the rack..lol

and let it sit til harden and put a pretty bow on it or what not.

and there you got yourself a very cute highly scented bear.

also...blow dryin it a bit afterward to fix it up better would help to...

like gettin rid of the clumps there might be.

  8. I have not had good luck with punched tin warmers.

not to crazy bout it over all due to it being hot and had 2 of them stop working on me after 2 months of usages. and sometime it don't melt the wax, sometime it does and it's to hot.

i now carry differnt kind of warmers, hatbox stacking ceramics warmers.

very nice to have and no problems with them.

    Hugs
