I put that recipe up cus you can get the ingredients in your super market and It really taught me alot about soaping. But like I said. If you have any suggestions let me know. I don't want to give people bad info.

Okay after re reading your post I think you mean Castor. I don't add the castor in the lye calc. Its more of an "additive" like Fo. Or at least thats the way I understood the recipe. If you have any suggestions on changeing it. Please let me know.

Wicks with a Zinc core.

I use a pillar wax and use zinc cores. They burn better and give a longer burn. HTH

I buy spools of wick and tab my own...have been for 8 years. I just recently started buying some the htp's from peak that are pre tabed. I don't like all the extra the wick either but I like not having to tab them. Its a give and take thing. Tabbing your own is cheaper.

Yep stearic isn't nessesary but you do need FO or mineral oil. And don't forget to let it cool very very slowly. I put mine inside a box and wrap towels around the molds
