  1. Oh what a mess, I feel like I have stuck my foot in my mouth. It hate it when there are two different stories, I knew there were two different things because I got the postcard and I was confused after seeing the adverts for the business one then actually seeing the other one.

Glowlite--that is the site. I hope that isn't going to cause a big division at the gathering this year--I found most of those ladies and gents to be hilarious. Good group of people.

I hope it doesn't either and they are such great people there...but you know what?....I had to intention of going to the summit thing at all I kept going to that site and waiting for info about the gathering in Scottsdale, I figured once the summit was over then info about the other gathering would be up and then I could register for that. If this thread never got started and you never mentioned that they spit I would have continued to think they where the one that is throwing the event in scottdsale. I wonder how many other people think that too?

  2. Yup, confusing. Two completely separate events. The lady who is doing the business (Summit) one is the one last year who gave a spiel on packaging your items (actually, the ideas she had were good, but her whole "theme" was a bit confusing...she kept talking about "making your coconuts pop".) LOL. Glowlite...let us know if you're going :)

    D

OMG I totally forgot about the coconut thing. LOL :grin2:

    soooo she's the one huh?

  3. I emailed the az gathering to see if they were related and she said no.

    Amanda….

No…Most definitely not. That is the original Arizona Gathering web addy. When she was told her services as Web Designer were no longer needed, she refused to give the Gathering Committee the domain and is now using it for profit.

The Official Arizona Gathering web addy is:

    www.TheAZGathering.com

    Sincerely,

    The Arizona Gathering Committee

Thanks for clarifying that. I didn't know any of this. All this time I was going to that website and wondering what hell was going on and why the gathering was focusing on this summit thing. I'm just a tad pissed about it...I feel decieved:mad: After re-reading Di's post it make sense now.

  4. I love bath tea's I buy the teas from wsp and pacakge them in those heat seal bags. The tea alone smells great but you don't get much aroma from it once its in the tub so I add some eo to em. I like the idea about the tea ball.

Like I said I really like them and use them once a week but customers aren't really buying them. I've had them on the shelf now for about 2 months and only sold 6 bags.

  5. Use tax is paid on items that you buy for your business and then use for your personal use or really anything that you aren't going to resell. So say you buy a desk and don't pay taxes on it when you purchase it. You're not going to resell the desk, your using it for your business. Your state will require you to pay a use tax on it.

  6. If this for your retail store I would highly recomend getting the phone line. How else are you going to do credit or debit charges? If you get a business line you are listed in the phone book. If you don't want to go this route then you can pay to have your cell listed in the phone book.

  7. Heres how I started. I made enough to fully stock my displays. Then made sure I had at least double that for my original stock in my stock room. When I started pulling from that last stock box..Thats when I would make more. If I opened the last box of Island tropic. I would make a complete new set of all the candles that are in that scent. A full set of one scent for me is 45 differents candles I only have 25 scents in my main line.

I do pretty much the same thing for my B&B but that line is much smaller I only offer 5 main scents
