    Tarts

I sell my melts in the 2 oz. portion cups (they weigh approx. 1.75 oz. filled) for $1.50.
  2. I bought a printer directly from HP's site online and it was offered as a payment option. I get monthly statements in the mail and lots of emails from them. I made my first payment by mail last week, so we'll see. I'm not anticipating any probs.
  3. Does Bird of Paradise smell like pomegranate?
  4. I think it's very wrong of you to post a "beware" when you obviously just got carried away with what you wanted the listing to mean. It was very clear when I first looked at the ebay listing and was glad to see everyone here felt the same. I wouldn't deal with you, either, and would have cancelled the order, as well.
  5. Ahh, periwinkle, you and my ex-husband think alike! He called mine "the crap room" as well. Now that he's outta here, I have a floral room, a sewing room, a tole painting/candle/laundry room and a garage that's used for MY wood working projects! Life is good.
  6. I'd check the total cost from a couple of suppliers nearby. I compared Peak with Lonestar and I'll save $50 on 5 cases of wax if I order from Lonestar, even though Peak is closer and the wax itself is cheaper. Peak must have a handling charge.
  7. I agree with moon. I visited your site and it looks like a fire hazard in so many ways. I make candles and safety is of utmost importance to me. I don't mean to hurt your feelings...it's just something to think about should someone take this idea and implement it in their own home, then walk away.
  8. Yes, I can finally get into Keystone's site...thanks LeahRB! I was thinking one of my regular suppliers carried it, and I'll bet it was KY, but it's not there now. Thanks TraciS!
  9. Yes and unfortunately I pretty much gave them my first born, including the right to post things as me, to get this download, before I saw your post, mzphee. Now I have to figure out how to take it back. BEWARE EVERYONE!
  10. I totally agree with you, Stella...safety first for me, too. I've had wicks come loose while pouring and while burning when I've used a high-temp glue gun.
  11. What's even more surprising than a company that puts glue dots in a kit is a company that sends you an email showing you their new candle making videos and one of them tells you to pour the wax in the jar first and then put the wick in....I'm still flabbergasted...and this is from a major supplier. I've also seen instructions from a "reputable" company telling you to pour wax into a votive holder and then when it starts to firm up, stick in a piece of wick...no base, just wicking.
  12. Anyone know where to get cherries in the snow fo? I've looked in fragrance finder and searched here...I know I've seen it somewhere! lol
  13. I was roaming around here and don't remember who posted this, but they said that certain fragrances like bakery and vanilla change after being in the clamshell for a while. I've never seen anything posted like this before. I'm just going to start making clamshells and wonder if it's a problem for anyone else.
  14. Yes, those extra watts make a difference. I started out with a plate type warmer from JoAnn's that didn't do squat lol...I think it was 12 watts tops. Thanks for your info, Jo!
  15. I left two entirely different burners on all night and checked the temp of both this morning. I was shocked to see they were both close to 200 degrees. In the past I've tested the temp by just putting the tip of my instant read thermometer in the wax and gotten a reading of 135-140. Knowing now that I have to immerse it more, I laid it flat in the wax and got the 200. These are 24 watt burners. I'm wondering if you guys are getting temps like this.
  16. KY has the best customer service I've ever run across and fabulous oils, as well. Bittercreek and Peak are good also.
  17. I think she takes better care of her eBay customers than her website customers (because of the feedback feature). I had to give her an ultimatum to get my order from her, and she was still slow. I won't order from her again.
