  1. I found even without blending any soy , wooden Wicks are much easier well it took months 🤣 of testing. They smoke less give a good HT at 6% The most I’m using is 7 . I remember someone here told me just because it says you can use 10 percent you do not have to best advice. I do need to work on my cotton wicks, people are not going just want wooden wicks. If i put as much effort as i did into wooden Wicks I’m sure I’ll have it down in a year 🤣
  2. I started blending with soy , also i have been using wooden Wicks. I have put a lot of testing into that . I found i couldn’t find one that was one size fits all. Spent a ton of money 🤦🏼‍♀️ So now i cut them mix them. I don’t know if you can call it 100 percent soy. Soy blend I call it if people ask me i do not have a problem telling what i use. I also just tried coconut wax , honestly much better than soy! The difference is unbelievable especially with a wooden wick. I posted pure coconut wax wish i had a better picture, smooth tops good CT and HT. Online issue it’s expensive. Take Forrest’s advice he knows much more than me !
  3. I burned that first one in a tin have the picture, it did leave a little wax on the side that’s not what I’m concerned about, I don’t really want to add color it’s turning brown, the tin did not seem to turn brown. The other wick i know is way to large ,it has a really strong hot throw ,also it’s not changing the color of the wax that’s why I’m still burning . I think i might order this one in a smaller size. I said I’m going to make a wooden wick work I’m going to 😂🤞🏻
  4. @SusanAspires I’m testing right now to see if i can get these to melt down, I didn’t pour enough wax ,still have enough to see how well it will do. I poured yesterday they are in my kitchen i can smell them in my parlor. I only used 6 percent, also i will definitely send you some cds i don’t know how this works i don’t want to put my information online.
  5. I didn’t really want to use my glass containers to test, so i just melted out some leftover wax out of old Yankee jars same size , going to test the wood wicks i liked see how it goes 🤞🏻The Htp was smoking up a storm. So I’m not even going to attempt that one thank you!
  6. @Forrest this might be a stupid question, do you think if i tested the Htp 105 in glass instead of a tin , the wax would have melted down? I’m thinking the same thing with a wood wick i really like it did not melt the sides, wondering if it makes a difference?
  7. I own literally every wick! I get carried away i should do more samples, I always think this is going to be the one! I can send you some though.
  8. That’s a 8oz tin , I’m still figuring out how to use this forum.
  9. I’m in contact with CS every day it’s pathetic 🤦🏼‍♀️ They recommend cd 14 or cd 16 for my tumblers, so i went and got 100 of each , either i used to much FO or they are to big . Like you i would like to stick with one wick that is my goal. I do not know if it will happen 🤞🏻
  10. You are far ahead of me ! I’m still testing i got some wood wicks i really like them , still need to test some more. I re melted a candle i put to much FO in so it’s a chimney light, when i blow it out barely any smoke. So I’m going to keep testing these i have 3 different ones ,the original booster wick gets pretty hot after about a hour kinda scared the glass would crack. Smells amazing . I will save that one for a different jar .
  11. I couldn’t even get my Htp 105 to melt the sides down , so happy i found this forum. Needed help with this wax desperately!
  12. Thank you for your advice helped so much! I lowered my FO , i forgot who mentioned the wooden wick co . I tried a few of those because they sent me the wrong ones at first. I was very scared to work with a wood wick , I’m not finding trouble with it . With the right cure time and lowering my FO. I have never joined the conversation i have always came here for advice, thank you all ! Still have a lot to Learn 😩after two years never ending learning i love it though
  13. Thank you Velma, I agree my fiancé keeps telling me to just put them out I’m not willing to do that ! Ruin my brand before i even grow one. I’m going to just keep testing everyone who has ordered i will make up for it with something extra, I have not taken money, I need to try to work with these jars candles science cost a ton in shipping alone ! I do have a lot of different jars that could be pretty nice so I’m going to test in those also 🤞🏻I read the reviews on cs everyone said they are using 7 percent so that’s why i figured i would start their, i also contacted cs they are now testing cd wicks instead of eco , so what do i do Order 100 pack of cd 14 cd 16 the size they suggested, awful just like a defected Yankee you buy on clearance, containers covered with black soot . This page is much more informative i appreciate everyone’s input .
  14. I did burn all the way down with htp 105 , still wax left on the sides . Tomorrow I’m testing every single wick I own, I let them cure this time see if i get a different result. I’m going to use 6 percent , if i can get a good ht with 6 percent that’s great! Would save a lot of money!
  15. I’m going to try 6 percent, I definitely did not let them cure long enough 24 hours. I was using GB 464 I was just so excited to test them. Also took orders before i was ready, i really thought how hard could it be. Wow i was wrong! I’m definitely sticking with this wax i have had good results, I love the way it looks I’m not getting the sink holes some people talk about. I’m just going to keep testing testing testing at 6 percent. Thank you everyone!
