yes, I use a wick centering tool.Should I pull up on the wick while the candle is drying?

Just wanted to know how you center your wicks. My wicks look centered,but, when they harden and I go to lit them, they, not not centered. WHY?

what i am trying to find out is my supplier said that soy wax will hold about 6% of fo and the preblend will hold about 8.5% of fo. I just wanted to know is how much is 8.5% of fo i will use for1 lb.. of pre blend wax.

Well, it's hard to help you without more information. What is your business name? What kind of candles/products do you make? Do you want something with a prim/country look or something more contemporary? Just saying that you want ideas doesn't give us much to go on. You want to make your labels stand out, but how are we supposed to know what direction to point you in? Give us some more infomation and we'll try to give you some ideas.

Also, you can always try googling "handmade candles" or something like that to see what other people out there are doing.

I use 100% soy wax. My tops were smooth before I burned them this am.

I heard that if you add fo at a higher temp. that it will burn off the scent. So, thats why I add fo at 110.

Does pouring temp. have anything to do with burning scent throw? I tested using 1lb.100% soy wax and 1oz. Mid Summers Night fo, melted wax to 170, added fo at 120, and poured at 110 medium zinc core wick. Not much of a scent throw when burned. Then I melted 1 lb. soy wax to 170,added 1oz.fo at 110, poured at 95-100, and small cotton core wicks. now i can smell my ccandles burning! Any advice is welcomed. Thank you.

I have tried some of those scents too. I love her J&J. I have used J&J to make melt and pur soap for my 2year old. Awesome scent.
