Nope...it's the one who receives. Automatic Daily Pick-up meaning that UPS comes to said account. Since they are there daily, regardless of whether or not there are packages to go out, they are eligible for hundred weight discount on their incoming freight.

Yes, you'll use your SSN for your taxes, no EIN is needed unless you have employees. Chances are, what other businesses are asking you for is your tax ID #, also called a wholesale #, and a few other things. When you register with your states tax dept. to collect/remit sales & use tax, they will give you a number. When you purchase wholesale from another business, they will probably ask for that #, then they won't charge you sales tax, and you would do the same if you sell wholesale to someone. HTH.

I already did that. I was told UPS no longer ships hundred weight to residences. For 4 cases, shipping is $112. Ouch! At least for my pocketbook!

That is correct. Is there no commercial address you can ship to...like your job, a local business that you frequent, or even a local UPS hub is considered commercial, they can ship there and hold it for you to pick up?

A slab of wax in a box can not compare to a container candle that has been properly packaged. Raw slabs have NO protection from the heat.

Everyone needs to take precautions when shipping during the summer months. But that doesn't mean you can't do it, with your wax or any other. A candle in a jar that is boxed and padded well provides a huge amount of insulation. Packing peanuts are wonderful for this application. You'd be surprised at how well they can travel.

And while maybe it's true that only you (meaning anyone, not the original poster) can determine if you're ready to sell, the sad truth is - hold your breath, this isn't going to be politically correct - some people really are just stupid. All the testing in the world isn't going to help the person that really has no common sense, can't figure things out on their own, can't think a problem through. Some people simply can't even recognize if there is a problem. And yes, there are people like that on this board. Oooo.....Chris, those look like they would be great for pouring balms, with that sharp spout. This is the first time I've seen the clear Nalgene, much more heat resistant than the polystyrene measuring cups

With a wickless, the type of wax you use is much less important. It's strictly a heat/FO issue.

With an actual candle, the wick determines heat produced, the size of the melt pool, and thus the amount of throw you'll get. Using the wrong wick in "x" wax could get you zero throw. Replace it with a more appropriate wick and it could run you out of the house.

Yes, it's possible for a smaller wick to create a bigger melt pool. Of course, the wax, type of wick, trim length, container, all have everything to do with whether or not this holds true.

A larger wick should consume more wax, but depending on conditions, it may burn slightly more than it is creating (or equal to) thus creating a smaller burn pool than a smaller sized wick. HTH.

1% is 1%, no matter the size you're mixing up. If you use the roughly 6% you mention, you run the risk of ruining the preservative factor already built into the base.

In my garage I keep all my containers. jars, tins, lip balm tubes, B&B bottles/pumps/etc. (all in sealed containers, of course). Bears, pine cones, warmers, lids, all my wax except for the current open case, pretty much everything I don't need on a daily basis.

Here is a perfect reason as to why I don't put any little do-dads on my wicks, around the candles, ribbons on the jars, nothing. No matter how cute you may think it is, some people in general are just too stupid. Doesn't matter how much or how large of a warning label you put on something, someone somewhere is going to light something they're not supposed to.

NEVER put anything flammable in, on, or near your candles.

Now, even though there were no instructions included with this particular candle, there are people that won't read them anyways, and would light this as is.

Since the LX's are coreless wicks, they curl when burning so you would always get an off center melt pool.

This is exactly right, and Vicky's suggestion to twist the wick should help that greatly, and give you a much more centered burn. Then, you can determine if the wick size is correct or not.

Nah, I don't think you can be miffed about it. Since the "*****, and *****, and *****, -Oh My" part has been around for at least 68 years or so, it's hardly original. I'm sure the cadence has been used dozens and dozens of times in commerce and it in no way means that any of them copied from anyone else or that any of them past or present has seen your site, etc.

It simply means it's a well known, catchy saying that is very easy for many people to modify to suit their own needs.

I use glue dots (at least I think that's what they're called. They are double-sided stickers) from BCN and they work really well. In fact, they can be stubborn to pull off when I'm testing.

Maybe you need to clean your jars first? Sometimes my glue gun would not work when my jars were not clean. HTH

Nope, those are called wick-stickums and they are awesome. Have used them for years and never, ever had a problem.

Oh that's palm alright. And it has very little soy in it, because it doesn't take very much to alter (stop) the crystalization of palm.

Marketing, marketing, marketing. Albeit deceitful. Make a palm candle (cuz it looks really cool and people will snatch it up) add a little bit of soy to it (cuz soy is all the rage and people will snatch it up) and call it a soy blend candle. Sell tons, make $$$. The consumer is none the wiser and generally doesn't care.

Hah! My suggestion was going to be to switch to Thunderbird! I've used Thunderbird for years and love it!! There's not a single thing that I miss about Outlook. IMO, TB has much nicer features and workability than Outlook ever did.

Although many people use finer resolutions, many do not. In all the design stuff I've ever gone through, the general rule seems to be to optimize your site for full viewing in 800x600, that way you are sure that everyone can view with no problems.

Also be sure and check your site with various browsers (Firefox, Opera.......and **cough cough** IE too).
