Hi there,
You can add another hard wax for tarts. Maybe IGI 4794 would work or if you have on hand another type of paraffin. Try beeswax it pretty darn hard :smiley2:

I wouldn't. Too long of a cure time and if the majority is not working to your satisfaction, then I wouldn't waste anymore wax and wicks.
Not sure what are all the ingredients in El Soy Mill but I have the same results....poor hot scent throw.
If you do B&B products like bath melts, bath bombs or dead sea salts, as long as they are lotion/body safe, I would use them in that instead.

This is my main supplier for my wax but really haven't tried too many oils due to the price.......BUT the ones I have tried I love! The conversion would be $4.42US.

Althought the product is great I find that the customer service SUCKS!!!
Tried 3 times on different occasions to get answers on wicks, wax and fo and not one answer back. Yes, he did get them, I have message tags and all emails were opened. In my opinion customer service is at the top, if its lacking, then it time to find another supplier....

Wow, I only use Peaks & JS (right now) & I would say about 85% of my test w/Peaks were sucessful & about 95% w/JS. Keep in mind I inquire about each FO w/the board before I test so the chances of me having positive results a really high.
I add me FO at 175 and stir like crazy, I stir occasionally before pouring at 110-125% also and one last stir right before I pour. HTH
O.k. I'm going to mix my oils in at 175 hopefully I'll get better results with both suppliers.
Pink limeade discontinued....I can't find it on the JS website.
Thanks a bunch,

Just Scents
:whoohoo:
Does this say it all?
EL Mil Container Soy
I use the same type of wax but I find with JS its hit and miss. Going to have to try this one, it sounds wonderful. At what temp are you adding the oil in?
Thanks,

I too ordered this from Flicker Fragrances for my body products. Haven't tried it in wax yet.

A Scent Shop ships USPS and charges exact shipping. The oils are great and Leah is having a sale on right now.

Pumpkin Cheese cake is yummy. I have poured berry bundt cake but can't remember whether I liked it or not. Nonetheless, Leah's oils are fantastic in my soy blend and customer service is awesome.

I use to melt mine in the microwave in a glass pyrex measuring cup...then I got my handy dandy pot.
There's alot of suppliers who state their wax is microwavable. You need to use common sense just like with anything else you place in the microwave, oven or frying pan.

Thank you RobinInOR!
I normally use MMS and Soapcalc but lately my soaps have been a bit heavy on the lye. Trying to figure what the problem could be.
I will stick with my Soapcalc. I'm going to test my scale to see if that's the culprit.
Thanks again and have a great 4th of July,

There's so many out there and I plugged my numbers into 5 different ones, each giving me a different quantities.
So which one is the best to use or most accurate so I won't get lye heavy soap. Is too much water going to ruin a batch?
Thanks

Same here! I'm hooked on Caramel Coffee Cream but the last few oils I ordered from this supplier isn't as strong, so I've been searching for the replacement.

Never heard of HTP A5. It could be HTP 105.

I think they are wonderful. Very classy and elegant especially the edition limitee. Just love the toile pagoda boxes and crystalized wax.....very smart indeed!

I don't know if this would work but how about adding very coarse dead sea salts..........as it starts to thicken up.

I agree with Pinetreecandles.
You have to at least make 2x your cost. If you don't, let the lady know it's not possible after adding up all the cost and such, your barely making a profit.
I have told some store's that on certain items. I can't sell wholesale. I sell it strictly out of store.

If you still don't get it, there's no help for you! Your logo says PURE CLEAN SOY. If that's not false advertising, I don't know what is!
She also makes soap and other bath products and it could pretain to that.
Bella,
I think your site is lovely, clean, fresh and pleasing to the eye. When I first saw your site the first thought that popped into my head was B&B products. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you will, one day get it the way YOU want.

I believe you have a 30 day free trial.
I tried it for awhile but like you couldn't afford it. I did get a sense of how much each bar would cost. It worked out to about 50 cents each.

Try 2 HTP 73 and go up from there. I have only been testing this jar with my soy blend and I use 2 HTP 93. I do have this wax but haven't tested it in my 16 oz yet. Maybe I'll pour one tonight and test it along with you and see our results.

I made a small batch this morning and will test it tonight after all the running around.

I agree with Wookie.
Although the oils I tested in my wax are not strong enough for me, I would not hestiate to try any other products.
Her customer service is great and I do have many of her oils I will be testing in my bath products. I think I will also be testing her wax when it comes out.
