  1. I agree with the suggestion of checking out the fragrance discussion board...so much great info on there ! My personal favorites are :

Wholesale Supplies Plus - GREAT oils, but keep in mind that they are pricey at times, & shipping can be wayyyyy too slow there.

Rustic Escentuals - If you love foody / sweet scents, RE is the place for you.

Just Scent - Tons of scents to choose from here, & they ship fast.

Majestic Mountain Sage - They can be pricey too, but they have top notch oils & they ship SUPER fast ! They have, in my opinion, the most realistic cotton candy that I've found as of yet.

Flaming Candle - Everything I've tried there so far ( with the exception of their bubble gum, that has a really strange note in there that ruins it ) has been amazing ! Their Sugar Cookie Royale in particular.

The Candle Source - Great, strong oils, good prices, fast shipping ! They have the best Creamsicle & the best Pink Sugar & Love Spell types that I've found so far. A big downside is their super outdated, hard to navigate website - but still very worth that aggravation, in my opinion.

I've just tried a few things from Midwest & loving them so far ! So I think that they'll be a favorite, too. Definitely check out the fragrance board, though !

I've had moisture in wax so often (all types) that I now just open the box, cut open any plastic and allow it to dry out a while before I use it.  It'll dry out pretty quickly if you run a dehumidifier or a fan in the same room.  If I have to use wax before it dries out, I just heat and hold for a while before I scent and pour.  Turns out just fine every single time.

Omg, thank you so much for the reply ! This is great news, because I felt like crying at the thought of wasting an entire case of wax !

I think you'll love their oils and they are also wonderful to deal with!

Yes, they are a really nice company to deal with & the shipping was so fast !

I got my oils & I’m overall very pleased ! I forgot to come back & update, I got them not long after my post above. My favorites ( it’s a tie lol ) are Strawberry Pound Cake, spot on in wax ! And Nectarine Vanilla Bean, which is amaaazing ! Oddly, it smells much more like freshly cut orange, not nectarine ? With the vanilla bean in the background. But it is amazing !

Blueberry Pecan Waffles is amazing OOB ! I feel like that will be perfect for Fall but I may need to pour some soon because it’s calling out to me, lol. Their Vanilla Sugar Waffle Cone smells a lot like JS’s but I feel like theirs is ‘ richer ‘ if that makes sense ?

Now to the oils that are underwhelming to be, but to be fair, these are OOB impressions only, so I’m going to put these in melts, probably this weekend, to give them a fair chance - Lemon Sugar Cake smells very Lysol like to me ! I know that it’s very much raved about here though, so I do have high hopes for it.

Pink Guava smells like the antibiotics that my daughter was on as a child, that pink nasty stuff that goes in the fridge ? So, obviously not a fan of that 😂 Like I said though, I will put these both in some melts & give them a fair shot because I absolutely love the other oils !

Overall, I love this new company & I’m really looking forward to trying more :)

  4. So I just opened my new case of Problend 600 & as it melted down, it was making popping noises :( I had this happen to me years ago & remembered that it was water in the wax. Sure enough, when I poured it, it had the little bead looking thingies that wouldn’t pop. I store my wax away from any moisture, so I’m not sure why this happened to me yet again. Is it the brand, maybe ? Is there any way at all to salvage this wax ? I don’t want to do the turkey baster thing where I remove the water because there seems to be too much, & it would be way too time consuming, so can I just air this out or something ? I ordered a new case, this time I ordered IGI 6006 from another supplier, but I would like to salvage this case too, if it’s possible. Also, probably a VERY dumb question, but burning the candle that I poured is a no go, I assume ? Thanks guys !

  5. Enablers !!! The lot of you ! 🤣 Which is exactly why I love this site, lol. I'm finally making that jump from hobby to business, & this company sounds great ! I thought that I was done with my FO ordering spree yesterday, then I saw this. I ordered mostly 2 oz samples, & two 8 oz. I ordered Lemon Sugar Cake, Strawberry Pound Cake ( those are the two 8 oz ) & then the 2 oz bottles of Blueberry Pecan Waffles, Vanilla Bean Nectarine, Pink Guava & Sugared Vanilla Wafflecones. I'll do cold sniff reviews when I get them & in wax as I make / test them. I like how the owner sends a nice email thanking you for your business after...such a nice, personal touch !

  6. I was concerned about this, too...not because I don't like WSP, I absolutely love their oils & I will always order from them. But I get frustrated with the slow shipping. I placed an order yesterday, & to my surprise, I got a shipping notice today ! Granted, it was a smallish order, but it gave me hope that maybe things won't go too haywire ?

  7. While the label & cap color that you describe doesn't suggest JS, at least in my experience over the years, the scent description does ! Even if it isn't JS, I agree with the others, I think you'll love Cotton Candy Super Strong, regardless. Their Blue Cotton Candy is spot on ( and STRONG ), too, if that interests you, & their Cotton Candy Frosting is amazing, also. Another great one IMO is Cotton Candy from MMS, if they're still around ? Not quite as strong as JS, but MMS is definitely one of the most realistic cotton candy oils I've tried. But yeah, I think you'll love JS's ! They have many great oils.

No, you are absolutely correct! I was talking about this fragrance forum. The OP posted this in the Wickless section, but some helpful mod must have moved it to the right spot. 😊

I’m so glad you pointed this out because I was all like, wait, how many Coronas DID I have tonight ?? 😂

But, back to the point, OP, I haven’t tried quite as many as most other members here because this is only a hobby for me, albeit a passionate one, lol. But fragrance is my fave part of it...

My faves so far are :

    The Candle Source

    Just Scent

Wholesale Supplies Plus ( BUT steer clear of their Pink Sugar & Warm Vanilla Sugar dupes, not sure what happened on those but someone dropped the ball there )

The Flaming Candle, only from multiple samples, cause I mainly order wax / wicks, etc from there...but the samples are all top notch !

RE, only a few so far, but again, top shelf quality.

And last but absolutely NOT least ? Candle Cocoon, who opened up my candle / tart making world to the immense joy that is Vanilla Voodoo ! The Red Banana & Ooey Gooey Caramel are also outstanding from there.

Now that sounds delicious Poetic!   I'll get that sample...thankyou.

    Trappeur

It really, truly is ! When I first got it, & heck, even when I get it out now 😂 I could not stop inhaling it ! I think you’ll love it !

  10. Hi guys ! Like many of you, I am already thinking summer, lol. I always wanted a good Papaya oil, because I’ve always really loved that scent.

I’m assuming that there is one out there, because my fave bath & body  etailer, when she was open, had a very realistic Papaya. All I seem to find is Papaya Mango, which is nice & all, but I kinda just want single note Papaya.

If any of you could point to to a great Papaya oil, I would be eternally grateful 😀

Trapp,I have used Peppermint Bark from Candlesource & love it ,super strong .I use paraffin ,so not sure how the throw would be in soy .I do know CS has some strong Wonderful oils. The Candlesource is low cost & also has some great ones .I am going to do some Chocolate covered Strawberries for Valentine's ,just need to find a good oil ,or blend my own.I love the Peppermint Bark scent also .I like Flamings Sweet strawberry & thinking about adding some smooth chocolate to make the scent .You could blend your own PB if you do not get good results with the ones you order. I love blending oils 😀

I’ve Blended both Flaming’s Sweet Strawberry, & WSP ( they are pretty much identical ) with WSP’s white chocolate & it is absolutely decadent. I’ve also added Sweet Strawberry in the cocoa sugar scrubs that I love to make, & same with those !

Sweet Strawberry is the perfect strawberry to blend with chocolate, & lots of other gourmand scents,

I've never tried a candy corn but have been wanting to for a while.  Is it sweet by itself?  I know that I will love the  Van Doo doo blended with it because I love sweets and use Van Voo Doo to sweeten a lot of things...so I just know it's going to be lovely.

    Trappeur

Well, I can’t say for sure how sweet it is on it’s own because I only had a 2 oz & used it all in the chunks, but, I feel like it would be very sweet by itself, too !

I really do need to order another bottle soon, I was kicking myself for not getting a larger bottle ! I also want to try other oils from RE because the two I tried ( Candy Corn & Funnel Cake ) are both top notch !
