This is great news ,site looks nice.I noticed some of the descriptions are not correct .I am sure she will get things in order asap.I can only imagine the hard work involved with purchasing Peaks inventory. I am wandering if shipping is free with a certain minimum purchase .I will be loading my cart today.I never got around to phoneing in pre order.

I apologize if I missed who VA is ? Did you receive your samples yet ? Thank you in advance :)

Sorry Moonstar ,I should not have the VA post in this topic .I meant to start a new post about this company.I have been super tired lately ,my mistake.Va is a huge company in Virginia .I had heard they purchased TCS ,so I called the owner. He was so polite and friends with the owners of TCS.I was told Kimberly used to purchase some of her oils from his Co. She never sold the co and just quit after her husband's passing. I have researched this company , they are much larger than TCS as he stated.I learned alot thru my phone call to him.I am excited to see how the oil performs in the wax.

Yes I received the samples yesterday .I will get these in the wax over the weekend & post results.I know a few smell the same OOB that I used from TCS . The Raspberry Mousse ,Pumpkin Souffle & Pumpkin pecan Waffle .I also ordered a Cinnamon Spice cake ,smells really good .Oh the other was Caramel nut Cluster ,not sure on how this one will test out, sometimes oils bloom in wax. I am hoping the PPW works out ,loved TCS .

  4. Have a wonderful trip and definitely try VooDoo love along with any I mentioned above .I have had great results with these .I only make wax melts and paraffin is my wax.One of my favorite waxes is CW 129 .I just received sampler 5 lb bags  of the 220 &230 soy from CW. I am wanting to experiment with some soy for wax melts .Do some para soy blends and see what I come up with .Enjoy your CW trip ,sounds exciting. I live in South,Tx and buy many of my products from CW. I do have a long list of fragrance oils suppliers and need to narrow these down .

Yes, there are some really nice ones!  I want to get a few next week.

One I was especially interested in was called Drunken Punkin.....

Was really very strange when I saw that name pop up because I came up with a blend last year and it was named "Drunken Punkin" for a store I sell to.  Now how odd to see such an odd name come up that I already came up with....

    Trappeur

Trapp, I remember you naming one Drunken Pumpkin. It stuck in my head because it was so unique. That is so bizarre they have a oil named after your idea . I agree with Terry ,sounds like board cruise to me lol.

  7. candlesncats , I called Keystone & have a feeling the orders over the phone will not ship very prompt. I need some for the holidays & will be ordering on the phone as well. I was to busy to do so yesterday . I  was told things were not near organized yet & still in process of getting the shop together .It appears the web site is going to be on the bottom of the list. I was hoping to at least get a few 1 lb bottles soon . How long ago did you place your phone order ?

I called them at 5:00 but they close at 4:00.  I'll call them tomorrow and just come right out and ask if they have some of Tennessee's.

I would think personally when a company does buy out another company it would behouve them to be honest and say either yes or no.

They only stand to bring in more business to their company for people who would come to their site and buy the oils plus you know it is only going to bring them more business to sell their own supplies and oils.  That is the way I look at it.  Correct me if I am wrong.  It would be a win win situation for them.

Trappeur ,VA owner returned my call today regarding TCS OILS. I was told Kimberly did not sell the company .He stated they did not buy her out at all. I was told she actually bought oils from VA .I asked was PPW one of them & he replied yes. He was super nice & told me Raspberry Mousse and more she used to purchase. I placed a order today for 5 samples & will let you know on the PPW .I  remember you were looking for this scent same as me when TCS closed. I got the feeling TCS did not purchase every scent they carried from VA ,however he stated TCS used to buy many of his oils. He was very polite :)

Keep us posted on what you find out about VA Candle

So the owner of VA returned my call today .This could be great news ,hoping . He told me they did not buy out TCS . They are actually a much larger company than TCS, he stated. I was told Kimberly & Brent used to purchase oils from them . He was very polite & honest . He said I could certainly feel free to purchase some samples from VA & would not guarantee these would be identical . I have a feeling I have found some of the TCS  oils  I have been searching for.

He named the Raspberry Mousse ,Pumpkin pecan Waffle ,Vanilla bean Noel & more that were purchased from Kim when the business was open. I was also told she did not sell her business ,she just no longer wanted to be in the  business, due to her loss . I have placed a sampler order with VA today & look forward to receiving these oils. VA offers 5 scents for 13.95 . This is free shipping ,so hope to get my PPW ,Raspberry Mousse ,VBN  back again :)

I did not see Salty Caramel on the site. He stated TCS did not buy all their oils from them ,but did purchase a lot when the business was open. . He also told me to call back if I had anymore questions. I may call back & ask if he knows where I could possibly  find some of the other oils she had ,such as Salty Caramel . He was & still is a very good friend to Kimberly . I wanted to let you know the response I received .This is good news IMO .I look forward to the samples .I will know right away if this is the same fragrances as I used to purchase from TCS , fingers crossed :)

    Thanks , katmeltswax.....

  10. I called Keystone yesterday regarding Peak oils. I was told I could pre order on the phone & will get faster shipping .She stated they are still in process of unloading & sorting inventory. I asked when the oils will be available online ,she said she was not sure . Sounds like it could be a while still. I was also told none of the peak oils are  the site at all. I will be calling today to place my order for some I need for the holidays .Cinnamon &Balsam ,Autumn walk ,Cranberry Oak and a few more. I felt she was unable to let me know when my order would be shipped. I will order today & hope for the best .

Trappeur ,It would be fantastic if VA had the original TCS Pumpkin pecan Waffle we miss so much :)

I hope Va did buy out TCS .This would be great as Keystone & Peak situation .You are right it would certainly bring VA a lot of business . I know this is a older post ,just now read this one & sounds like good news. I will call tomorrow for sure ,thanks ,Kat

My Aztec already arrived today - definitely fast!

I ordered a few candle and soaping dyes, and wax tart cases in addition to the fragrances.

I'm sure these will change somewhat in soap or wax, but OOB they are strong and I like all of them so far. They also all smell very different from each other, which is nice considered I have a pretty crappy nose in the first place.

Bedime Bath - The smell comes across clear and soothing, although it may be slightly weaker than the other ones. This kind of scent isn't supposed to be in your face anyway. Smells like the dupe it's supposed to be, similar to Johnson and Johnson's Bedtime bath.

Clothesline - Very clean and detergent type. Strong and soothing like a Gain type to me.

Black Sea - This is the one I was the most excited about trying from them. My crappy nose can't place it. It's a blend of different smells clearly. Very clean and nice smelling - smell musk with undertone of floral but can't pick the floral out yet the first time. Just sniffed again and found the floral first. It's layered so I think it's one of those that will smell differnet each time I sniff, or else some notes will come across clearer when I soap it. Really like it.

Butt Naked - Strong and tart, going to soap this one. Bright and happy. I haven't compared other Butt Nakeds. The strawberry doesnt dominate but comes across crisp. Happy with it.

Blueberry Cobbler - Wow. Wow, so nice and fresh I can almost taste the blueberries. As sensational OOB as everyone has said.

Driftwood Island - OOB it is very nice but not at all what I was expecting it to be or smell like. Not sure what to think yet. I like it but can't place it. There's a spice right away and it's a clean smell but I'm not smelling much with water or anything fresh like island air, ozone, etc. Warming smell. Surprisingly strong cologne/perfume toned. Will have to see what it does when transformed.

I  highly recommend Aztecs Cactus & Sea Salt along with Coastal & Sea minerals if you like ocean sea type scents. All of these are fantastic IMO. I definitely agree Aztecs is better quality and stronger oils than NG. I love Aztec & only ordered from NG once . I got Hot orange Danish & ended up adding a few drops of orange essential oil ,to make it a tad bit stronger .I did get their famous Pumpkin crunch cake as well. I am going to blend with Aztecs pumpkin spice to see if this will help the scent throw . I recommend Aztecs Carrot cake if your looking for a spicy SWEET stronger scent  .I definitely prefer Aztecs Carrot Cake over  NG PUM C.Cake . Candlewic has some amazing oils in their Ultimate & Bold selections. Gingerbread spice cake super strong & Pumpkin ginger streusel . I just wanted to let you know definitely try the ocean types I mentioned above from Aztec ,hope this helps .

  14. I don't feel so alone now with the Pumkin scents.I have the worse luck with Pumpkin scents.I do love Pumpkin pecan Waffle and performs great in wax melts ,however all other pumpkin scents just do not seem to perform very well for me.I have Candlescience famous p souffle and p pie .I have tried all of Aztecs pumpkin scents.Maybe I will try Peaks pumpkins as soon as keystone starts offering the oils. I need a few good pumpkins for wax melts to work out ,it is so popular during fall.I do like Aztecs new Cinn Peppermint creme ,reminds me of minty egg nog .It is very unique .

Gail - you were SO RIGHT about Leaves. I went back and ordered a pound.

Also - the Aztec Cinnamon Peppermint Creme is really nice OOB and from cold throw. It's got some curing time left before I can burn but I have really high hopes.

I think someone mentioned Santa's Pipe from WSP (I know that's more holiday and halloween) - but I hate it! Hoping once it cures it'll be better but I could barely stand pouring it.

Pumpkins - I have now tried Aztec Pumpkin Souffle, Aztec Pumpkin Spice, CS Toasted Pumpkin Spice and I just can't do any of them...I'm just broken I suppose, I don't like pumpkin scents.

I add 10% soy, just enough to give it a little more opacity. But I tell you what, I have gotten some brilliant colors with the 129, and with melts you don't have to worry about wicking issues if you use a lot of dye. Sometimes if I want a softer melt I'll go up to 20% soy. Lavender Lemons sounds great! I have daughter who is a lemon lover and a daughter who is a lavender lover, so that sounds like a win for my house, lol.

I will be more than happy to send you a sample of the Lavender Lemon CW. I always keep this one in stock .I order the 1 pound bottles :)

Thank you for sharing ! I definitely recommend CW Lavender Lemon ,it is the Yankee version & the absolute best I have found .I have tried many co & settled on CW  ,so strong and has a wonderful aroma :) I may try a little soy with my paraffin . I like a creamy looking tart . I hear soy gives bakery scents a really nice throw .I will let you know how my blends turn out.

I just received 220 & 230  soy from CW ,ordered 5 lb sample bags to start with .I love the way this wax is tiny little granules ,looks so easy to use . I have to take a hammer to my 129 ,hurts my neck & wrist to beat a 50 pound case into small chunks .I do like the 129 for many scents .I also use 4630 + 4625 with some fragrances as well. Thank you bunches & please do try the Lavender Lemon ,promise you will Love this one :)

Thankyou all so much with these wonderful wonderful names!  I'm gonna use them all! lol.........I'm just so overwhelhmed....I will by tonight get all my ducks in a row and get these names on my labels and let you all know what I went with!   Kat I do remember that movie with Dolly Parton!  Thankyou!.

Dorothy in regards to the few scents that are somewhat out of place, I agree.....but the way I think is not everyone who goes into a western store is a western girl/guy so I think to have a couple scents that appeal to all sorts of people and are terrific sellers which these happen to be is not such a bad thing to offer.   But I know what you mean. So there is a little something for everyone and the accounts that I do have every single one of them sell lemon verbena, basil-sage-mint, lux linen and they are consistant#1 top sellers....so I try to trust my judgement.....but who knows?......they might not sell.  Just one of those things.  But thanks for asking.

This is how I'm going to do the labels.  Some I'm not going to do a Western Name.  The ones that do have a western name I am adding a line underneath in parenthesis stating what exact scent it is.  I myself would like to know what I'm picking up and smelling and I think this would be the way to go about it.  I minimized the the city and slightly minimized the store name with logo so I could fit the extra line in.    So what do you think about that?  Here are 2 samples of what I did.

    You are welcome Trappeur :)

I make a tart with a Tobacco scent ,I call Mr. Bo Jangles ,from the song way back when . It is the name that draws attention .This seems to just work sometimes with scents that are not so easy to move. Of course that's not really western ,just saying sometimes a unusual name will certainly move a product lol :)

I LOVE your Halloween labels & names . You will do great with the western ones as well .I haved admire your talent since I joined this site :)
