I like the border much better. Personally, I think it makes the candle "pop" at first glance.

Those are LOVELY, LarryCat! I never get tired of looking at palm wax candles! They are endlessly fascinating to me, which is why I am so addicted to the stuff. When I am not looking at it here, I am gazing at my own stuff at home.
I just LOVE those crystals!
Isn't that the truth, Stella? They are very unique looking candles! I plan to burn one of them in a day or so. They smell absolutely fantastic; hope they burn as well as they look....thanks for the compliments!

You guys are probably tired of looking at Glass Glow containers....but, here are 2 of mine. The green one is GL's Birthday Cake FO, the red is Candy Apple. I also stuck in a couple of the pumpkin containers. (Thanks, Big Lots!) I used GL's Pumpkin Harvest for these. All of the candles smell soooo good! Thanks for looking!

I've been using this wax lately....really great stuff!! I think the candles look so neat. I have a question? Since I've never tried pouring layers, I would guess that you have to wait for the first layer to completely cool before pouring the 2nd layer. Is that how you achieved such a great looking candle?

Beautiful job...and a wonderful thing for you to do!

Has anyone actually used the stuff from Hobby Lobby or Michaels? Would like to know how well it works? What do most of you use for your models(not the right phrasing) lol
Actually, I've looked at Michaels (store & online) and I didn't see any silicone mold making products. Not sure about Hobby Lobby, though. I've used several different types of silicone; my preference is the RTV. Yes, it's expensive. Good luck!

One of these days, I need to try making canes. Very nice job!

Very nice job! I received the Glass Glow Thursday and made a green candle. Got it a little too dark, for me, but I love the look of this wax!! We'll see how it burns, but the CT is excellent!

I see that many of you like GL's 70/30 wax and am wondering does anyone else carry that wax? I am in New York State and shipping from Texas will be prohibitive for me.
Hi Ingrid! Not sure where in NY State you live, but I live in PA. I just received 20lb of 70/30 from GL and the shipping was slightly less than $18.00. I was going to switch my soy choice, to try and save on shipping, but since I LOVE this wax I just couldn't do it. This is, by far, the greatest wax I've tried in the 2 years I've been making containers! Good luck.

Just make sure you don't get interrupted with a phone call or something, and miss checking the temp!!

Hey, good or BAD, I'm on it!!:tiptoe:

hi leslie! Glass Glow is a crystallizing container palm wax. There are a number of suppliers, and you can do a search on glass glow or palm to find out a lot more about it. I purchased mine from www.candlescience.com
hth,
Jenn
Received mine today from Candle Science! Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow night after work??? Can't wait to try it.

I've been thinking seriously on ordering a pound of that Greenleaf 70/30. You guys are about to push me over the edge!
Go for it; you won't be sorry. I was toying with the idea of ordering from a supplier closer to me to save on shipping.....couldn't bring myself to do it. I love the 70/30 from GL and the ECO wicks!! The service is excellent and they are more than willing to help you! Good luck, whatever you decide to do!

I just ordered some of that wax; can't wait to try it. That's very neat! Good job.

I was wondering if anyone uses Candlewic's soy wax? I have been using GL 70/30, but shipping is getting expensive. I live in PA so Candlewic is much closer. Just curious if anyone has used their soy and if so, what you think of it .
I prefer this wax for my containers!
Thanks for your help!

ICS= Indiana Candle Supply
They recently purchased Snowtop Candle Supply
My opinion they both have high quality oils!!! I have been using both suppliers (now one!) since I started making candles 2 years ago. I use
GB 415 SOY.
Kathy @ Indiana is a very good person! They have good service and high quality oils................what more could you ask for! You won't be dissapointed in either. Snowtops oils are very strong and true to their name
so is ICS oils! Great Variety, Good price, Fast shipping!!!!
That's it...Indiana...I just couldn't remember what their new name was. Thanks; I'll look at their FO's when I get back from vacation. I need more and have never tried theirs. I have used their soy though.

I seem to recall Snowtop, but what is ICS?? I can't remember what they changed their name to. Thanks!

I have "retired" hubby do it while I'm at work....then I don't have to listen to it! He uses a hammer.
