  1. Yes, GC is wonderful. A good friend of mine sells their candles, and they're everywhere around here. Their Mulled Cider is another one of my favorites, and I have yet to find one I like as much (or at all), so thanks for the Alabaster tip! :highfive:

I'm guessing that they would have alot of their FOs custom blended for them... but who knows. I do know she started in her kitchen, just like me!

It's nice to see you Holly!

  2. Kaybee, I guess I was confused by the BCS website, because they say they welcome you to sniff Fo's while you're there.. but going back, you're right, they say that they don't have a storefront... I'm not sure how I got that in my head. Thanks for the heads up! I probably would of headed that way, only to be disappointed!

We'll be travelling along all the southernmost states. Might swing up a bit, because I want to see Tennessee.

My, texas seems to be the state for candlemaking!

  3. That might of been mine. Yup, I'm looking too. I absolutely love that GC fragrance. Ordered the BNL's, and I'll have to try JS's mojito. It might work for my nose if it works for some..

In an earlier post, Soya recommended Save on Scents concentrated version. Said it was strong, her strongest FO in soy. But I don't know if it's similar to GC's.

I'll post if I find anything. Please do the same! I'd love to find this one.

    Alora Ambiance Candle Wick Trimmer

Our wick trimmer is designed by Rubis, a Swiss company known for their dedication to creating high quality, functional instruments. Keeping wicks properly trimmed will allow candles to last longer and will prevent candles from smoking. The 90 degree angle on blade is ideal for container candles.

    $80

They're charging $80 for a wick trimmer. I think I'll add some accessories to my line...

  5. We'll be heading out from California, and going all the way to Florida. I have no doubt I'll be suffering chandler withdrawls, and will need at least a few FO fixes along the way! :D

It's pathetic, but I'm negotiating with my husband re: what I can pack to make a few pillars while we're on the road. It's a hopeless situation. I'll for sure be taking some testers with me to burn.

  6. We're taking a cross country trip this spring along the south, and I'm really looking forward to stopping along the way to visit suppliers and sniff oils, etc. I've noticed that there sure are alot in Texas! I've written a few down that I know of that have shops/showrooms (ie. BCS, Taylored Concepts). But where would you all recommend I stop?

  7. lol... you guys made me get out of my seat and go get a tester back I gave to a neighbor! I was there when she lit it up originally, but I've been buggin to know how it's doing. I did promise she'd get it back later.

I'm finding I would much prefer to do my own testing. There's just so much I need to see and smell for myself to truly test it.

  8. I did a baby shower recently, and made votives with JS Baby Magic in a very light pink. Smells just like the real thing. The flower pot holders are cute - that's what I used. Just be aware, the Baby Magic throws, and so it started to smell that way in the room :) Didn't blend well with the brunch we were having. They would make nice give aways.
