Gosh I hate doing it, I know it only takes a few seconds but when your making 500 a week its a problem.
-
How many people use warning labels on their wax melts? I for one do but I hate putting them on and Im thinking about not using them.
-
Eap6006 behaves just like IGI6006. I actually like it better (not just because of the better price) but because it doesn't leave me with sink holes like igi did. How's come you don't want to use EAP?
I dont think the EAP releases from wax melts as well as IGI. It is defiantly softer. I never had a problem with IGI in wax melts like some people.
-
I am embarrassed to say I figured out what the problem is. I started buying my 6006 from EAP Innovations and I never noticed their 6006 is not IGI but a proprietary blend just for them. I think I was just so excited over the good pricing and shipping that I didn't notice. I also think thats a little misleading.

For those of you using pre-blended do you care in sharing who's it is?

I have searched every data base and can not find the word Farmers Market trademarked by Yankme!!
-
So who has the best price and shipping for cases of this wax? I have been buying from EAP Innovations and just noticed that their 6006 is not IGI bit heir own mix. With that being said it is softer that IGI. It just kills me that everyone charges $32 to ship a case. EAP charges $18 for their blend.

I was just going by Yankees web site, when you pull up that scent they have TM next to it.

I just noticed a company called Estates sold at JCPenny has a wax melt called Farmers Market. How do they get away with using that name since its Trademarked by Yankee?
-
So Im just curious about something. Most people introduce the oil at 185 degrees. Do you do the same for a oil that has a flashpoint of say 155? Do you think introducing a 155 oil at 185 can burn off some of the scent?

OK, I don't know anyone who sells them at the price. I sell thousands of these a year to my wholesale client and I buy from Aztec which is a 30 mile drive from me, so no shipping. Aztec buys theirs from Allstate can, same link you were given above. I don't have a lot of room for storage of huge quantities of all the sizes of containers I sell, so I buy them a minimum of 120 at a time, and I think my price is 72 cents a piece. Their normal price is $8.95/doz. You might be able to get them for 70 cents each if you buy a lot, but then you would probably be better off buying them directly from Allstate can.
These are a good quality. I've never had one rust, and once in a while I find a partially burned tin that is a few years old. Tin is still in great shape. The tin seems to be coated in something.
Good luck!
Thanks, thats not bad. It's the shipping that kills me, your lucky you can drive and pick them up.

What price are you trying to beat?
I would like to find them for $.55-$.60
-
Would anyone want to share who has the best price on 8oz tin's. I no there has to be better price on these than what I can find.
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone found a good dup of Yankee's Autumn Leaves?

I've ordered 6006 from a couple of suppliers and it seems that when I order from Aztec, it appears darker for some reason. The 6006 I've ordered from everywhere else is white or creamy but their's is always a dark cream.
I don't use it as a blend for clams any more but could it be you're pouring too hot? I know if I pour too hot it's harder for it to release from the clamshell. I'm assuming that's what you're pouring in. I don't pour over 155-160 degrees.
Thats interesting because it seem to have started when I switched buying my wax from CS to Aztec.

Who is RE I see used as a abbreviation for scent oil?
Thanks

How do you make firestarters?
-
It appears it just took a 3 extra days. Normally it always takes 5-6 days to release, this last batch took 10 days.

Im using 75% 6006 25% 4625, In the past I have used 100% 6006 and had better luck but now all of a sudden even 100% 6006 wont release, it's almost like the wax is different. Anyone else experience
this?

My number 1 seller is lavender. Followed by honeysuckle, rose, lilac, jasmine, and daffodils. Blends that do well are honeysuckle rose, honeysuckle jasmine, and tuberose & jasmine and lavender with just about anything.
Hyacinth, apple blossom, lime blossom, gardenia, and orange blossom seldom sold well for me.
Can you say where you get your lilac and lavender from?

If you are going to use 'Pink Sands' or ANY Yankee fragrance name on YOUR candle, no - that would be trademark infringement - the name of the scent would be trademark infrindgement, not copyright infringement.
I notice some of their names they have TM next to it and some have a R and others nothing, Im assuming if there's nothing then it's free game. Would that be a fair assumption?
-
This is the exact reason why trademark laws were put into place to begin with.
So Im a little confused by your statement, above you said, Copyright infringement is not relevant to the above. so can I use a name like Pink Sands and use my own art work or is that against the law?

Like any supplier, they have some great ones, but some equally not so great ones. Their dupes, in my experience, have all been waaaaay off, with the exception of Midnight Pomegranate which is a huge seller for me. They have no descriptions of their scents which is kind of a pain, but I have gotten used to it and don't order anything with a crazy unobvious name, anymore. One of my all time fave FOs is their Blackberry Amber.
Can you please post which dupes have been way off? Please!!

What is your experience with CS scents?
Thanks

500 clamshells, now in the busy time. After the holidays it goes down to 300-350 a week. It does stink
