The web site is so outdated every bit of the shopping experience is frustrating. I live near enough that they usually choose speedy to ship but it is mystery $ shipping costs.

Some great oils, but yes the website is absolutely horrendous to navigate through

I have found that anything chocolate scented, has an after scent, that is reminiscent of butt juice.  My friend and I were trying different blending ideas once.  Put chocolate and patchouli together on qtips...was SOOOO gross.  We saved it for our "hippy" friend.  She loved it!  We still laugh about that cuz we both thought it smelled like "hippy butt".  Needless to say it never went in wax  :)

Agree. Anything chocolate smells like vomit to me.

    Good Morning Everyone,

Fragrance buddy is currently closed due to damage from a hurricane, which is completely understandable, but I am in dire need of a few of their fragrances to fill some orders. Anyone know of any dupes of the following.
    Sugar Cooke Royal

    Amish Harvest

    Buttered Maple Syrup

    Spiced Cranberry

I tried community candles Amish Harvest although its a nice scent, its nothing like the one from Fragrance Buddy.

Any help would be appreciated it.

Update: The power company has promised us that by 9/30 we will have power. Currently we are still without power and internet. This is the only thing holding us up. We tried to run off of a generator and hot spot internet by phone. This was not an option. The internet is just too spotty to process orders. We are hopeful that next week we will be back up and running.

  4. Who knows...it may even be more cost effective for them to send out at least a 1/2 sample like Bittercreek instead of that rose. We have never bought a fragrance because we liked the smell of the rose. Listen up Natures Garden, the rose does NOTHING for us. The best deal with freebies is Candle Wic. Free 1oz sample for every pound you buy. Too bad we don't use more from them.

  5. Love Bittercreek, but they need to get their website updated. It's very difficult to navigate. Promo codes need to be added to the comment section? Come on Bittercreek get with it!

Shipping is always an issue. I don't even bother clicking the USPS option for shipping. I always get a phone call saying they can't ship a certain oil USPS....they should just eliminate that option as it seems to be a consistent problem. Also, it would be nice if we could get a free 1oz sample instead of a 1/2 oz sample. Not much you can do with a half ounce!  I guess the free half ounce is better than Nature Gardens silly scented rose!

  6. Good idea candybee. We have found as far as seasonal scents are concerned sometimes less is better. It's kind of funny, but sometimes the more choices a customer has, the less of a chance you have of them making  a purchase. It's called "choice overload" (google it). I can't tell you how many people have come up to our table at fairs and sniffed all the candles...loving all of them. Then say "oh my God, I can't decide...I'll be back". We cut back on how many different scents we bring to fairs and sales have increased. Some people suffer from paralysis when forced to make a buying decision and don't end up buying at all.

  7. Yep, copycats everywhere. We had someone actually copy our "About us" on our website word for word, the only exception is they changed the hometown name. It was truly pathetic. We started doing festival shows, now they are doing festival shows. Copied all our price points, copied the look of our product. We don't consider them competition as they are a couple states away. Be original people!

I would guess it’s a CD, ECO or HTP wick and the soy could be anyone of the soys on the market - i agree with KK that it does look old - many soy will powder and become brittle like that after years of sitting

it cant hurt to ask the Maker but also keep in mind if this is a old candle you won’t be able to replicate it with all the changes in soy now....they all seem to burn and throw very different now

    Thanks Moonshine!

Actually looks like the candle was dropped and broke in areas but you're saying it was already burned?  Looks filled to the rim as well?  Looks like my soy candles that were stashed for 3 years and dried out and then it fell off a table.

No, this was before it was burned. I have seen these candles by this candle maker before in shops around here and they always have the cracked and cratered  tops. I didn't know if there was a certain soy wax that always behaved like this. We have never worked with anything other than parasoy and a little 4630 starting out.

You are right, it's impossible to tell, as a lot of container soy wax will set like that.

Is it a candle you bought, or were given? Maybe you can ask the maker, however, a lot of makers keep their formulas proprietary, and they may not tell you.

The candle was given to me. The scent throw is absolutely amazing for a soy candle. We work with a parasoy wax and can't even get a throw like this wax/wick combo!
