  1. HI this is Robert with EZ Wick Systems. Don and I will be coming out with the WCT for containers in the middle to late March. There will be 3 sizes Small Medium and Large. They will fit Jelly Jars and alot of other different sized containers. The large will fit the 16oz Apothecary jars and other size jars and it will have multiple holes for double wicking. The center line of the holes will match the multi EZ Wick Setter for double wicking. I am attaching a couple of pictures of the tool. With these you dont have to worry about the wick not being in the center it automatically holds and centers it. You dont have to worry about it getting bumped and moving on you. You can have your containers close together and you can place the tool on the container before you pour. You dont have to remove it to do a second pour it can stay on the container until you are ready to trim the wick and put the top on. I will keep everyone posted when they are available. Thanks Rob in tx

  2. Love the look of your soaps! Love the look of the seeds in there.

As far as scent in soaps, my dh wanted to know why I didn't use Oatmeal, Milk and Honey instead of Mountain Lake. So guess what scent I'll be using this week?? :laugh2:

  3. Sorry, I've been away from the computer all day.

Thank you all so much! Coming from you ladies is a Great Compliment! I've been admiring ya'lls work for too long. I just had to try! lol

I think I will try again this week:laugh2:(yes, I'm addicted!) with same recipe, but different scent!! This one is sooo loud!

I will try to take a better pic outside and see if I can get it posted. This camera is soo old and we have to have perfect light for it to come out good. :(

  4. I will try to put these pics in. They don't look as good in the pics, as they do in person...but you'll get the idea. ;) Actually these pics suck. But I had to show ya'll.

This is my FIRST CP SOAP....but I think it turned out well. It's Lard, Coconut Oil and Olive Oil with 1oz of Mountain Lake. I used Peacock Dye called Tricky Blue...and it depends on PH....so mine came out a Pinkish Purple..Super Strong scent..but I'll have to change the name now :laugh2: Right now it is not blue!! Thanks for lookin'

P.S. Thanks to Robin for helping with scale issues!!

  5. How do you insulate that?? I just found some Red Devil Lye (looked everywhere!!!) I'm trying a 2lb batch to start with. Do you put the top on? I know that once I start, I won't be able to stop!:laugh2: I've been wondering what to put my first batch in. I took some cardboard boxes from the supermarket today (they are smaller sized).

Forgive me for rambling...but I'm a newbie to this, and I can't wait to make my first batch. You all have been an inspiration to me. Only hoping my first batch works.... :tiptoe:

And yes, I'll report my results, and try to take pics.

  6. Looks like a good burn. I've only experimented with EZ Soy from BCN. I used the wicks they recommended at the time (it's only been about 4 yrs ago...so I don't remember).

I made several candles and was pleased with scent, I remember doing Pina Colada, and although it's not a LOUD scent, it did o.k. I just remember not liking the way it burned. It left like a frothy foam on some of the side, not all the way, but didn't burn as good as these look. I may not have used a large enough wick.

I'm used to mushrooms with my wicks (zinc core), and it doesn't bother me, or customers, just trimmed as needed.

    Gerrie, these look really nice!
