Just had to say I love your title for this thread!

Container candles. I have made lots of container candles for myself and friends with random jars I have bought or been given. What do you all use for your lines of glass containers?? If you have pics I would love to see them.

LX wicks are the only wicks I use for containers, votives and pillars-I LOVE THEM!!!

OK I see. You have a deep sink hole in the center and that also makes the repour wax sink a lot when it cools. Try making your relief holes much wider. The more space the holes take up, the less of a sink hole you'll have in the center, and the flatter the repour will be. Also make sure your repour wax isn't too hot. 180 is plenty.
yes that is exactly what is happening, never happened before I have been using 1242 for 3 years now and this box (60 lbs) has ALL done this! I will try what you suggested, thanks

The 3 pillars i poured last night were completely cooled down (and 1 of them I even repoured this morning) plus I put 4 relief holes and it still sank really bad again. Driving me nuts! lol...

of pillar wax before I pull my hair out! I have been using IGI 1242 but lately it hasnt been working out so well for me Everytime I make a pillar I am needing to repour 3-4 times instead of 1-2 maybe 3 times. Could it just be a bad batch of wax?

Basket looks awesome! You made those baskets? How did you manage that they look EXCELLENT!

It's not a tumbler, it's a shell votive. It comes in only 2 sizes, 3oz or 7.5 oz. The tumblers have the heavier base, and are more expensive.
This is what I am looking for, do you know where to find these that ship to Canada? Thanks in advance...

Air freshners-that is a good idea. Or sachet ones for the girls?

Thanks that helps out lots. Do you mind sharing where you buy your palm waxes? I am looking to get palm that will hold up for a forever pillar. Thanks

between palm waxes when it comes to using it for forever pillars? I know there is different effects you can get. And how do you get palm wax really really white?

Please don't include the rest of the good people on the board for having suspected permanent PMS when you really mean me! My goal was not to offend, but to educate. I'm sorry if my response caught you wrong. I gave the OP a lot of direction toward resources to help them in their quest for information. There is no succinct way I could think of to say "ya gotta do your own homework" without saying, "ya gotta do your own homework." :undecided I realize (BOY, do I realize!) how time consuming it is to learn the ins and outs of even one aspect of candlemaking, like fragrance testing and choice. For some quick questions, there can be quick answers, but for others that are broader in their scope, it would be disingenuous to barf out a buncha stuff that would not be helpful in terms of helping someone learn how to make their own determinations, not to mention their own market research.
BTW, I am well over the PMS days and into the days that come after - the COB era (Crusty Ol' Broad). I try to be nice at least one day a week...
OMG that is classic! Thanks for the chuckle!

Is there a difference between the palm waxes when it comes to making forever pillars? I know there is different waxes for different effects. I want to try and make one for Mother's Day and seeing how palm wax and I dont get along I figure I should start trying now! lol.....and also how do you get a really white candle with palm? Not just wax white but a solid white colour?

I didn't know square tealights existed , however if you find some I would be interested in seeing how they look.
Good luck in your search.
Thanks, if I find any I will post on here for sure. My sister bought some from a drug store and they are really nice clear square tealights...she uses them around the bath.
