  1. I have a very special request. My oldest son, Paul, is in the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia. He has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and is on a waiting list for a new liver. In the meantime, he is in and out of the hospital with jaundice and having his blood purified which is very painful and exhausting. When I first started making candles, I used a lot of the plastic two-piece molds from Pourette. One was a 9 1/2" tall cross mold. When I moved back to Arizona from Kansas, I sold all of my plastic molds. Does anyone have this mold, and if they do, could they please make me a white cross for my son. And send it to me and I will send it on to him. Time is of the essence. The cost doesn't matter. His wish does.

  2. I came across small boxes of colored gel wax. I am going to use them for 8 oz jars. All I have to do is add the scent. Using the Presto Pot for such a small amount would be a waste. How long does it take to melt the gel wax in the oven? And does it get hot enough to be fully melted. I tried putting a Pyrex cup in water and heating the water, but it never fully melted and it takes too long.

  3. I need to find a small melting pot for small amounts of gel wax. I researched the Fry Baby. It is 900 watts but doesn't give the temperature it gets to. I was wondering if the Presto Little Dipper would work okay. The info on it says it gets to 195 degrees. Any suggestions?

  4. I am almost out of Carrot Cake fragrance oil from Berts Heaven Scent supplier. I went on their website and they no longer sell it. Does anyone know of a supplier that has this scent that smells as good as Heaven Scent. It's smells just like carrot cake.

  5. I had the same problem, Coco. I received my wax yesterday and set up two molds without a wick, scent, or dye. I poured one straight, and I put stearic acid in the other one. And just like you, this morning, the one with stearic would not come out of the mold. The one with stearic came right out and had air pockets toward the top of the pour. So, I am definitely going to do relief holes in this wax. I wish I still had the wax I used from Glory Bee. It came right out of the mold without using stearic. But they no longer sell it. I'm glad I did my two sample candles before I actually poured a candle for a customer.
