  1. What is the distance between the candle flame and the bowl? If the distance is too big and she is using a crappy tealight it could be that the heat from the flame get disbursed before it hits the bowl - I hope I make sense...

Can't see any other reason, if there is sufficient heat it should melt.

  2. I also think your post was misread. Thank you very much for posting this info - it is really helpful for people like me on another continent to get feedback from people. It is in absolutely the right spot as this is the fragrance section... And we really appreciate you taking the time to actually write a review.

That said, I believe you are owed an apology:o

  3. Hi and welcome to the board and your newest addiction!

Don't worry too much about wax reviews, what works for one won't always work for you. First have a look at suppliers closest to you, shipping can be killer! Then order sample sizes of some of them and play with that first before you go buy a full 55lbs. At least, if I have to start again and I had all the choices you have, thats how I owuld go about it.

  4. The microwave method is also way faster than the crockpot method, as far as I know. You just have to keep putting it back in for short periods to make sure everything is melted evenly. I normaly also only spritz a small amount of water to make the shreds slightly damp. Be careful though, if it start looking like hair mousse when you heat it, stop and stir first before putting it back. That is almost at the point of burning, which you don't want. If you burn it you will end up with dark brown pieces in your soap - not nice...

  5. I think it looks great for a rebatch! I normally don't like the looks of a rebatch and just recently had one of my own turn out nicely. Maybe there is a little rebatch fairy hanging out!! :D

I say lets bribe the bloody fairy - I kinda like this rebatch thing...:D

  6. Sabrina, calculate your cost for the 100 candles and work it out as a % of the estimated total bill for them, with the discount. Then ask that % as a deposit, prior to starting any work on the final order. Make sure that you spesify by what date they need to confirm payment into your bank account, taking into consideration the time it would take you to order additional supplies if you need it, as well as the time it will take you to make and wrap them. The balance is payable on delivery.

Good luck - I'll hold thumbs for you:D
