gmp couldn't have said it better IMO. I actually threw my chips out and never looked back. I love my liquids! I think they are easier to use when mixing colors and easier to reproduce the same color batch after batch.

I think they look great!

lookin good - keep up the good work!

do you have a pic you could post by chance?

Thank you so much for all the nice comments! There are so many AMAZING candles posted on this forum it means a lot to me to get feedback on my little tealights!

Those look amazing! Very professional.

Those are just awesome! Very inspiring. I hope to work on rustics some day.

yep, yep...I'm a Jar Store fan too!

does anyone recall the regular price on this wax?
-
I agree. The 3 inchers seem big - I have the 2.25's and love 'em.

tealights and tarts for me. I'm struggling to get a good hot throw on a few of my scents so I'm mostly gonna be working on getting those little stinkers to come alive!

Nothing exciting just some tealights but I'm super excited to be posting my first gallery pic!
The wax I used is a blend of 75% container wax with 25% votive wax. The pinks are scented with 1oz/lb of Sweet Pea from Peaks (I LOVE this scent!) and the yellows are scented with 1oz/lb of Cool Citrus Basil (also from Peaks). I'm testing a few different sizes of Wickit's Superior 700 series on these.
Fingers crossed, I hope this works...

Those look great! Perfect for Valentine's Day!
Btw, I was at Michael's just tonight and saw red flower pots in the candle isle that looked just like these. Unfortuntaley I didn't catch the price but I would be surprised if they were $1.60 or more a piece. May be worth taking a look!

I started my candle adventures by trying Peaks Container Kit. I loved it and would definitely recommend it!

I use Peaks. It's a all in one, no need to mix it.

I pour right onto the puring pot too. I find it to be much less messy this way - and it's one less thing to clean!

I use this webpage for reference quite often.

I've experienced the ugly tan conversion too! My candle was a 12 oz Metro Jar container candle made with Astorlite Q wax, 1/2 oz/lb WYW Pear Tart FO, and couple drops of Hunter Green liquid dye from Peaks. The candle looked gorgeous at first, a beautiful bright green, the crystal pattern was really pretty and it had very good cold throw, IMO. I forgot to mention - there was no wick, this was a wickless candle burned on a candle warmer. During the first melt, the hot throw was ok :undecided but the color of the candle went from that beautiful green to a down right and ugly tannish/green color. Yuck! I was SO disappointed. It even stayed that nasty color when it had completely cooled too. Frustrating!
This was my first experience with this type of wax so I figured it's just another opportunity for me to learn. At least that's what I keep telling myself...
I'm hoping that my dye was the culprit in this case because I just LOVE this unique wax and would hate to find out that it's color changes when melted. I'll try to keep you posted as I try other variations of FO, and dye in my attempts to reduce the appearance of this nasty tan!

Great job! I like the ball and cone ones best!

I love these! Very clever!
Color suggestion for Pear Berry

first thought - light green (basically the standard color of a real pear...)
