  1. Not familar with this company but it looks like they have 6 oz hour glass containers. http://www.moonglowcandles.net/containers-c.htm
  2. I don't sell but my new personal favorite is Olive Blossom from BNL. OOB I didn't care for it too much but once I put it in wax and lit it up, I love it!
  3. http://www.cherrylanecollection.com/html/11421.html If you are talking about these, do a search on this forum for wax beads or soy beads, they have been discussed a few times.
  4. can you post a pic by chance? That would be helpful
  5. I'll be there too - can't wait!! Of the demos that are posted so far - I think it would be fun to see which everyone is most looking forward to. For me...it's the "Wild World of Wicks" by Bruce Campbell.
  6. Along the left hand side of this forum you will find a General Information tab, there is a LOT of really good information behind it. I encourage you to take a look, I use it all the time. Here is a calculator that will help you find exactly what you are looking for I believe. http://www.candletech.com/calculator/
  7. Here's what I found by google searching. Not sure if it's exactly what you are looking for but may be worth taking a look. About half way down the page you'll find item #110562 http://www.yaley.com/candles/Tealight_Molds.htm I also know that you can purchase the large tealights from IKEA - they are aluminum cups not plastic and contain a tealight candle so they are definitely not your ideal... http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=12&catalogId=10103&langId=-1&topcategoryId=15573&parentCats=15573*15699*15702&categoryId=15702&cattype=sub scroll half way down page - there are plain white and colored ones just thought I'd throw it out there. good luck with your search!!
  8. I use paraffin wax, and Wickit Premier Series - 705 with a 3mm neck x 15mm base. good luck with your hunting!
  9. I missed last year's but was able to get tickets this year - the convention is only 20 mins from my house!!
  10. I must be blind...where did you find the sale info? Is it posted on the webpage? I found the scent of the month on there but I can't seem to find any sales on fo except a free 2 oz sample for every 2lbs purchased. Help!
  11. I just finished up my registration to the BC convention. I missed the registration date last year and was SO bummed. I heard huge raves from it so I made sure to stay on top of the registration date this year. Whoo! I'm really looking forward to it! Any one else going from here?
  12. sorry Daria Blue I don't know of any other distributors than those already mentioned but I wanted to jump in on this MN bandwagon! My home is in Plymouth! I'm all up for combining our orders and saving shipping $$. My parents live in Northern WI (only about 45 minutes from Bittercreek) and I've always said I'm gonna actually plan my ordering process (I only purchase wax and couple of BNL fo's from there) so that I can just grab it while I'm up there rather than paying the shipping! The tricky part is that they are only open standard business hours, M-Th. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and throw out any helpful options I can bring to the group!
  13. oh how fun! I bet you will be busy, busy this weekend!! I don't really have a tip or trick to mention but I do have a little something to watch out for. I was on an astorlite Q fix for awhile and thought I found my personal fav when it came to container candles. Well unfortunately I was very quickly disappointed the first time I actually melted my Q candles (I was making wickless at the time). I always followed all the rules, only had put in .5 oz fo/lb, some UV and dye. I poured at the recommended temp and I was really pleased with both the cold throw and the finished look. BUT, after melting the first time, the candles severly discolored. They all went from a beautiful bright green to a nasty yellow/brown. Ugh! I put the wax away and just haven't had the heart or patience to pull it back out yet! It was very disappointing...I wish I would have taken pics to show you. I know I wasn't alone in having this issue. If you do a search on astorlite Q you'll find a couple others that have hit this roadblock too. Just something to watch out for! Good luck with all your testing and take good notes!! You're gonna have a blast!
  14. I second that vote for silicone. I've tried hot glue - Craftsman High Temp Glue - some of my wicks lifted. I've tried wick stickums from BCN - some of my wicks lifted. Another option you can try are glue dots. I've personally never used them but know others that do. I've found the silicone to work best for me - I put about a BB size amount to secure each wick and I'm telling ya you can tug and tug and tug on em and I haven't had one come loose yet. There are lots of options - hope you find what works best for you!
  15. wow you've been busy! they all look awesome, great colors!
  16. you can also usually purchase straight from the Wick Your Wax webpage but it looks like the page is down right now in need of renewal... http://www.wickyourwax.com/
  17. I don't make carpet freshner but have heard that many people use sugar shakers (the tall ones that you see in diners and such). They are made of glass with tin or aluminum screw on tops that contain little holes. I've seen pizza places use them for parmesan cheese too. From what others have said, it sounds like you can find them at both wal-mart and dollar stores. that's about all I know, perhaps someone else will post how they package the sugar shaker hope this helps!
  18. hmm...mandarin bamboo huh? Honestly, the first thought that comes to my mind is a light brown color..more like the color of bamboo. That's my two cents anyway... btw, I really like your candle holders in the pic and the palm effect looks great!
  19. I don't know definitively if these are flat or not but they look flat in their pics. Might be worth giving them a call? I have never ordered from this company either... http://www.spiritcrafts.net/autowickpins.html
