  1. Just got back from the hospital tonite with the kids. Hubby is still having lots of problems...docs cannot get the sugars down. I thought for sure last night we were going to lose him. He has struggled for years with the diabetes and it has taken a toll. He is only 35. Just need to type out feelings right now...pretty stressed. Would love to pour some candles to relieve the stress but everytime I have tried that method I get crappy looking candles. Boys are finally in bed and maybe I will sleep tonight.

  2. I also have the polyurethane tealight mold. I love it!!! If I am topping off votives and have left over was I just have my tealight mold nearby and make tea lights. I save these for samples for customers or sometimes I package them up as a "Candlemakers Dozen" meaning it is a variety pack of different scents.

  3. Well, the spilled milk in the wax yesterday was just a sign that something was very wrong with DH. He is a type 1 diabetic and his sugar was extremely high. He went and laid down after the milk incident on the bed and after about 10 mins I went in their to give him a hard time. He appeared to be ignoring me but that certainly was not the case. His sugar level was so high he became unresponsive. I had to call 911 and get him to the hospital. He is doing somewhat better today. I was just going to leave him alone since I thought he was ignoring me. If I would have left him alone he wouldn't be here today. It was a bumpy night last night because the doctors did not know if they were going to able to bring his sugar level down. Pretty stressed out especially with 3 kids 10, 4 & 2. Feel bad for venting now even thought it was in fun.:sad2:

  4. I ran into a similar scenario at my last job. I had one gal tell me how much she liked my candles and how good they were and she bought many from me. Then one day she quit buying and telling everyone behind my back that she was going to start making candles because it was easy money. Since she had worked at the company longer than me she had more friends etc. Anyway the point being, she tried to make candles, didn't test, and sold them and then our coworkers found out who really had the talent.

Don't let these gals dampen your spirit of candle making. This shall pass and sucess will come to you.
