Has anyone tried logging into the Pryme candle calculator recently. I have not logged on since 3/12 and now today I cannot get logged on. I have 3 huge orders to pour!!! Just wondering if Daphne changed the login and password. Sent her an email but no response yet.

I came up with 3 drops to .1g as well. I only use my scale when making super huge batches.

I use a votive blend for mine. You may have to go with a larger wick. I am not familiar with the eco series wick but I have found that I need a larger wick in general with soy.

I am looking for a good Clove Pomander. Can anyone recommend a good supplier for this scent?

I am pouring 150 tealights and going to test 2 new scents: Clean Cotton and Carmel Pecan Pie.

I print mine on glossy as well. If it needs to be folded I take it to OfficeMax or Office Depot. They have folding machines and they are folded perfectly each time. They usually charge 1 or 2 cents per fold.

My favorite hands down at this time is White Tea and Cactus. I feel in love with it immediately. It beat out my previous favorite of Harvest.

I also use EL soy wax not the Mill but the old 100% soy. I always add at 175-180 and stir gently for 2-3mins. Then I cool and pour slushy. Some oils do need a little extra cure time and like other have said some just will not throw in this wax no matter what. Wicking is the other issue...once I found the perfect wicks for my wax I did get some better throws as well.

There were 2 other soy candle vendors there and they were selling the huge quart canning jars for anywhere between $9 and $11. I had to lower my price slightly to compete. I did have awesome comments about my booth and how my product looked. Peeps that did buy from usually bought 3 jars at a time because they could not choose one scent. btw it was in Albertville.

Well, it was another semi-disappointing spring show. The weather in MN was beautiful for this time of year. I did ok for the crowd and of course you never have what the customer wants. If I would have had tons of spring and florals I would have been in great shape but no...did I have all of my works in progress...nope! Plus there were 2 other soy candle vendors as well. I would never diss a fellow candle make but this particular vendor was the type to give us all a bad name. During conversations I asked how long she had been doing this and she said 2 years and had made money both years! OK we all know this business can suck your wallet dry in no time. So then I proceeded to ask her about how frustrating the testing process was. She replied .."We tested one wick, jar, and oil and when it worked we made all of the others the same." I just about died. AT least I can sleep at night since I have tested each and every one of my products. Just had to share and sorry so long.

That really stinks! I would demand a refund on shipping from FedEx or call the supplier and have them file an unacceptable delivery claim. We do it all the time where I work.

I now adding clamshells to my line and I was wondering if any of you give a small pack of tealights (say 6 for example) with a purchase. I love my soy tealights because they burn so long. I have not officially added them to my line since I have just spent months testing them. Any comments would be welcome!

I am with Angela and I have totally switched to the Premier Series for my soy candles. I have also used them in parafin as well with sucess. I have pretty much eliminated all of my burning issues.

Me too...just let us know how much the candles are. My hubby and I were very strapped for cash this past xmas since he lost his job. I always have a few candles at work to sell. Anyway, my coworkers new from conversations that it would be slim to no pickins for our 3 kids and all of a sudden 2.5 weeks before xmas I had more orders that I knew what to do with from work. Friends do help friends out! Just wanted to share too!

I use the 100% soy EL wax (classic) and wick my tealights with the Premier wicks from Wickit. So far they have worked the best for me.

That fee seems reasonable to me. I just submitted booth fees for 2 shows in March that are one day each.

Please tell me I am not crazy on this one....I have a particular wax & scent combo for a votive that I had to wick up to the same size as my 8 oz jj. The votive glass is not to hot to the touch by any means. This just seems so wrong. Do any of you run into weird scenarios like this?

I have used Lantana Flower, Cranberry Spice, and White Tea & Cactus. All were excellent.

I am making votives with the EL Votive Blend. I had been using another votive blend from my supplier that he stated was comparable but now I am having wicking issues. (EL=Enchanted Lites)
